Picked up Veronica Mars s3 and Black Lagoon 003. I'm glad Geneon at least released that last disc of Black Lagoon before going out of business, because I would've been terribly vexed if I had an incomplete collection. But with them gone, I'm curious if someone else will release Black Lagoon: Second Barrage. Because I liked 2nd season even better than 1st season.

Haven't gotten Lu Bu's PI in WO yet. I've determined normal is prolly my best choice in terms of difficulty setting for that board. Easy they don't spawn fast enough, and hard I don't seem to be killing them fast enough. I can get 1000 kills in about 10:30 on normal, so I need to figure out how to shave a minute and 30 seconds off my time. I'm pretty sure it can be done. Its just gonna take practice, practice, practice.

I've been taking Lu Bu, Hideyoshi, and Liu Bei. I usually start with doing the Hideyoshi speed boost, then the Liu Bei attack buff, switch to Lu Bu and start killing peons. Then whenever it wears off, I quickly switch, do the r1 buff, switch again, do the next r1 buff, and then switch back to Lu Bu. I've given up and finished out the board several times for practice, and even on hard, Orochi wasn't a problem for me. So my team is gonna be fine. I mean, both Lu Bu and Hideyoshi are at l99, Liu Bei is high 80s, and they all have 4ths with everything at 10. I believe the LBs both have bolt 10, slay 10, flash 10, brave 10, might 10, multi 10, agility 10, and range 10. Hideyoshi has the same, except air 10 instead of agility 10, since his attacks are fast enough, even before the speed boost.

The seven abilities I have set are potence, impulse, fortitude, vitality, cavalier, karma, and acclaim, all maxed out. Though I just realized I could prolly switch out karma and acclaim for something tactically useful since I have no need for luck (they all have maxed out 4ths, so I don't need a good weapon drop) and they're all maxed out (well, Liu Bei is close enough). But change it to what though?

I guess Boost, definitely, as that increases the power of the triangle attacks. But all the musou ones (focus- increase max musou, recuperate- recover musou faster when not active, awakening- increase power of moves that use musou, conserve- musou consumption reduced, and refill- regain musou even when active) are all useless in this situation. The cost of Hideyoshi's speed buff and Liu Bei's attack buff is minimal, and I switch out almost immediately, so they've regained the lost musou by the time I need to buff again. And Lu Bu's r1 special and musou attack aren't a real help. That also makes power a useless choice because even though it makes Lu Bu's r1 special "better", I'm not gonna use it anyways.

So mebbe the other slot could be used for adrenaline? I'm gonna be actively killing peons, so the health gained for every 10 kills would be substantial. I'm not sure if that'll be quicker than refill, which just slowly regains health for the active character. I'm not really getting in trouble health wise though. Oh wait, Hideyoshi and Liu Bei are both technique type characters, so perhaps I can use the last slot on "technique" as that will increase the effectiveness of their buffs.

Perhaps I could also get Liu Bei's PI. Since that supposedly improves his r1, mebbe that'll make his attack buff stronger. Or I could switch to Cao Cao, who's PI I already have. But his team buff is attack and defense, so I'm assuming since Liu Bei only buffs attack, his attack buff is higher. If only Lu Bu had a useful r1! But that'll prolly be the most effective set up.

Tuesday night TV commentary:

Is it me, or is SVU pretty political as of late? It always surprises me how they can tie in such issues to their cases. Surprisingly enough, I don't think last night's was nearly as ridiculous as the "deadly domestic dispute leads the detectives to uncovering the government secretly giving soldiers anti-anthrax injections that make a good portion of them nuts" ep or "pedophile kidnapper leads the detectives to uncover a secret government conspiracy of home grown biological weapons" ep.

Interesting ep of Reaper. There were plot developments, weird! Its been mostly MotW and how much more can he piss off the girl of his dreams so far in the series, but the whole thing with the devil and his dad is interesting. His dad was acting kinda suspect when he first saw Sam had his contract, but when the devil angrily refused to meet with the dad, there was obviously something more there. Then at the end, the dad rips out and burns a page of the contract. I wonder what they don't want Sam to find out?

Ah, I hear Pushing Daisies got a full season order. Awesome. And color me surprised! I've said while I've enjoyed the show, the general viewing public might find it a little too quirky. But I guess not?
