Hmm, its a gloomy day today. I already can't wait for the weekend. Owel, Wednesday Night TV commentary:

Interesting, so on Pushing Daisies, Chuck didn't know about the something else dies caveat? Thinking about it now, I guess it didn't come up in that first episode, else she'd freak out that someone died in her place, but I guess after that ep, I guess I just forgot and assumed she knew. Hence her not being so worried about the whole minute rule.

In any case, its still an oddball show, but I enjoy it.

But not as much as I enjoy Gossip Girl. So, its Dan and Serena's first date. Which happens to take place at the same night as Blair's annual sleepover. But Blair's only mildly upset about the whole thing. Though if its been happening for years, you'd think Serena would know about it already without needing an e-mail reminder! You'd think after last week she'd do a better job of recognizing slights like this, but I guess she's still nowhere near a crappy friend as Marissa was to Summer on the OC. And anyways, its not like she could break a date with Dan given the events of last week either.

In Serena's stead, Jenny goes to the slumber party. Meanwhile, Eric's crestfallen when he was expecting to get a weekend off from the Ostroff Center but Lily is all, "you're not ready yet!" Also crestfallen? Rufus, who calls his wayward wife about her commission check, and is shocked to hear a guy pick up the phone.

Dan and Serena's date fizzles at first, mainly because Dan tries to woo her as the rich suitors would (though you'd think he'd realize by now she's looking for something different) and she wants to slum it with him. After leaving the fancy restaurant Dan took her to (and Serena pays for while he's in the bathroom), she lets him know that this isn't the kind of date she wants, and thus they go to a dive bar and have a fun time playing pool. At the slumber party, the girls are playing a wilder version of truth or dare, and upon hearing of Eric's plight, Blair and Jenny break him out and take him clubbing. Lily gets a call from the center, and is pretty pissed about it. She hears he was removed by a hot young blond, and assumes it was Serena. Since she switched purses with Serena before she left for her date, she can't reach her daughter on her cell, so she calls Rufus for Dan's number. But since the one hit wonder is nursing his wounded pride with a bottle of booze, he blows her off. He reconsiders a moment later, and tells Dan, and Dan and Serena head off to the club to get Eric.

Lily shows up at Rufus' doorstep, demanding the number, and he of course let's her know he took care of it. So she decides to hang out there until Serena and Dan get Eric, and the former couple reminisces about the good old days. Heh, Rufus starts cooking Lily a meal while they wait, and since his hands are full, he asks Lily to answer the phone when it rings. Its his wife Allison of course, who's totally pissed when she hears Lily pick up. We don't see the aftermath of that this episode.

At the club, Blair and Jenny try to one up each other dare wise, and little J actually manages to keep up. She's not so sweet and innocent! She dares Blair to kiss some random stockbroker douche, and she does, only to pickpocket his PDA-phone thing. So Blair in turn dares Jenny to call the guy's gf, Amanda and tell him about the kiss, which she does. So Dan, Serena, and the guy's gf show up at about the same time, the gf pitching a fit. He is pissed at the girls, so Dan has to step in and defend them and tell them they're all jailbait. Actually, he only says his sister is jailbait, even though she's not the one he kissed. Its like the guy's all, I didn't kiss a 14 year old! But no one brings up the fact that he was macking on a 16 or 17 year old.

In any case, they all get thrown out. Dan and Serena walk Eric back to the center, and Lily relents after her talk with Rufus and lets Eric come home. Meanwhile, Blair dares Jenny to steal a jacket from her mom's store. They give her the keys, but not the alarm code, so a few seconds after she goes in, they run off and she's locked in. Since she has the keys though, she manages to bluff the officers (again, she's no clueless little girl) into thinking she's Blair and they can't call her mom because she's in Paris and she just needed to get her jacket and they can watch her lock up if they don't trust her. It prolly only works because she's hot jailbait, the perverts.

So, she show back up at the slumber party, where everyone's asleep. Blair wakes up and is shocked to see Jenny with the jacket, and even more shocked when Jenny says she's going home, because who leaves a Blair party? Jenny pushes further, arranging to hang out on Monday at the steps, and Blair, liking Jenny's moxy, acquieses.

Owel, its been a while since I made one of these, but: Been working on getting people to 99, maxing out the right stats on their weapons, and getting their personal items. Still haven't been able to get Lu Bu's. You need to get a 1000 kills in Wu 8-x, the battle of Chi Bi, within 9 minutes. And they just don't generate fast enough!

But I've gotten all the other ones I've tried for, within two or three tries at most. Some of the timing things are a little close though! Wei Yan, you have to break all of Goemon's treasure boxes within 2 minutes in that one board. (well, you also have to beat Kotaro and Musashi, but those have no time limit). And you need to run it just about perfectly. Its not really a problem on easy (of course, I was also doing it with a level 99 Wei Yan on Red Hare), but I'm thinking you definitely need Red Hare, and you just have to swing by and hit the boxes as you pass. You can miss once or twice, but you can't do that with every box. And no stopping either! I managed to get it with a second or so to spare.

Same thing with Mitsunari's, though it was a stupid thing where Ranmaru only appears after Sun Ce reaches a certain point in Wei-3 (or mebbe its 4?) And you have to beat 300 and Ranmaru with 7 minutes. The 300 is not hard at all, there's enough people pouring out of the gates that there's no lack of peons (as long as you don't close the gates!). But perhaps I did too good and let Sun Quan catch up with him too soon, because the brothers would stay up in the northwest corner fighting, instead of Sun Ce going to the middle north fort to get Ranmaru to spawn. I finally had to bump Sun Ce a few times and run slowly to get him to follow me instead of attacking Sun Quan and lead him into the fort.

Owel, I haven't kept up with how many of the PIs I've gotten (I recently switched the background to Kunioichi's 4th pic after getting her PI), but I do have the faq printed out and crossed it off the list once I get an item. I wanna say I've gotten less than a third, mebbe?

Uck, I hate things that have ridiculously low time limits. Blech! And so getting the PI unlocks the 4th pic? Gotta start working on that soon then I guess. :D
