Finally watched the rest of Thursday night tv. A Scrubs musical ep? Awesome. Though some of the songs did sound off. Once More With Feeling is still the bar to measure TV musical eps to.
Awesome ep of the Office. Did they purposely make the music when Michael goes to find Dwight sound like "Up Where We Belong" from an Officer and a Gentleman? And Michael's so oblivious! "If Dwight can do that for some random co-worker..." Ha!! Still, the Dwight/Angela handshake was kinda sweet, even though I half expected them to kiss.
Oh, and while the joke on Andy was funny (and deserved for what he did, and really how can someone be that annoying and not realize it?!) didn't Jim learn his lesson from Stamford? Andy can't take a joke, he's crazy! But it showed despite the fact Jim and Pam haven't been hanging out like they used to, they didn't miss a beat at all when it came to pulling the joke. I don't know if they just don't show them coming up with a plan, or that they're so in tune with each other that they don't need to vocalize things and know exactly what the other is thinking. I'd like to think the latter. Though you still gotta feel sorry for Karen- Jim finally admits he still has feelings for Pam. Its good that he's finally honest about it, his behavior last ep was kinda weak. But does that mean the Jam will be back in full effect soon?
And the Taco Bell Grilled Stuft Burrito commercials with Carmen Electra and that chick from 7th Heaven (or supposedly she is from my research on the matter, though she looks a little like Shiri Appleby which is why I thought she looked familiar) confuse the hell out of me. I mean, they can't have both happenned! In one, his friends don't believe he ever dated Carmen Electra and in the other one, they don't believe he's going out on a bowling date with her. If the bowling one came first, then they know for a fact that he once dated Carmen Electra. If the "I used to date Carmen Electra" one came first, then they shouldn't be skeptical that he's going bowling with her, because he's dated her before! Yes, I think about extremely stupid things. But it does not make cents!!
More OC commentary:
Rewatching tonight's OC ep because I'm bored, I can see how some people on the TWoP forums were a little offended by Taylor's behavior. That she was mad about him supposedly abandoning her and not returning her calls when she was the one who lied about him. Some say she was even worse than Marissa this ep. I don't think so. While I can see some of the things she said can come off as bitchy, I think she was just legitimately confused. Despite her sexual experience, relationships are actually new to her. I don't think she was purposely trying to be a harpy- she's a sweet girl under all that neuroticness, and I'm sure if she actually thought about it, she'd be a little horrified at her behavior.
(Oh, and its the scene where Ryan and Sandy talk about things on the beach. I think Ryan's kinda erroneous here, Henri Michel didn't write the book for Taylor! They're memoirs! Oh wait, its a novel, there's a difference! In any case, its more like the book was about her rather than for her.)
