Nov. 17th, 2004 07:57 amBack at work again. Just 5 days of this and it'll be Thanksgiving break. I'm recovering okay, still tired and stuffed up though. So hopefully it'll be an uneventful week. Of course, they're trying to get all that new cooling in place for those new racks, so who knows what sorts of craziness will occur in the next couple of days. The past few days have been pretty uneventful. Spent most of it napping or in a dayquil/nyquil induced haze. Did catch an ep of JoA during dinner between napping and sleeping. Incredibly sad ep.
The roomie made a big meatloaf and potatoes with gravy dinner Sat night. It was good. Speaking of, while watching SVU on NBC last night, saw that the 11pm news was gonna do a piece of these Thanksgiving soda things! Very disturbing flavors. Well, fruitcake flavored and cranberry flavored soda I can see, but Greenbean casserole, mashed potato and butter, and turkey and gravy sodas?! How can there be such a thing?! And apparently they're sold out! Who would drink such things?! Its sounds gross!
Other TV, short but sweet:
I'm still having a hard time grasping this "seeing music" concept. I mean, is it like coded in their heads that when they see a certain note or touch a certain key, they automatically hear it in their head, so they don't have to actually hear what they're playing? And did they think of the third possible reason for Anne Heche's vegetable hubbie crying? You know, maybe because Dr. Brown and Anne Heche are practically flirting in front of him, but since he's a vegetable they don't think he notices?!
Okay, for some reason when they tricked Jackson into that town meeting and Kirk blocked the door and made the motion with the giant imaginary scissors, I thought that was hysterical. Stars Hollow is never not strange. And I know Rory's dad disappointed her a lot throughout her life, but automatically assuming he went back on his word and contacted Lorelai was a bit presumptive. And he was the one who was invited, he can't exactly say no. Though once the promise was "broken", he did go back to trying to contact her that night. I wonder how much of a monkeywrench he's gonna be in the L/L relationship. Rory was looking very cute throughout the ep though. I know certain people disagree, but I happen to think she's a very pretty girl. The whole thing with Emily going on a date was interesting and funny, though her crying at the end was a bit sad. I wonder how much longer they're gonna draw out this separation?
