So psyched_out corrected me and said March 2002 wasn't the first 2601 party, the first one was actually August 2001. Of course, I'm pretty sure he got the date in August wrong, it was a week earlier than he thought. Apparently, I didn't have anything to say about that one. But what I did write in that time frame makes me realize how dated that post was. Among other things, I mentioned how that Alien Ant Farm cover of Smooth Criminal sounded pretty cool. Ha! Its like those sitcoms where they go flashback to the 80s and you see them with the big hair and wearing the Member's Only jackets talking about how rocking A Flock of Seagulls is. Where are those guys now? (Alien Ant Farm, but I wonder where the Flock of Seagulls peeps are now too)

Reading those posts (and my old gtg postings) I realize it is a little hard to distinguish what was reality and what was fantasy. Its like I'll read a story and wonder, am I talking about something I saw on TV or something that really happened?

AAF -- the singer guy got hurt or something (an accident in a tour bus? I forget), recovered, and they put out a second album that came out at the end of last summer.

Yeah, I think I saw they were one of the bands that was gonna be on there. I saw the one with Berlin. They're pretty rockin'.

I lost all my pre-Feb-2002 postings, I think due to an angband crash. But I went back and read them all from March 2002, and several things jumped out at me:

- Gaseous Clay is one of your best finger names ever
- I used to post a lot more
- My idea about combining ski-jumping with the biathlon to create a human clay pigeon event needs to happen.
- I'm sure I was at that party, but I didn't post a damn thing about it, probably because I tend to sit in a corner with the 3 or 4 people I know best until geebs gets drunk enough to be entertaining.
