So there's this
site that calculates the total number of hours you've spent watching TV shows. I don't know if this is the site
clevemire had asked me about a few weeks ago. But in any case, I got 401 days, and 55 minutes. A little over a year, that's not too bad, I don't think.
Of course, its a totally inaccurate number, because some of those shows I haven't seen every episode of. But on the other side of things, I didn't count anything before I started watching TV "relgiiously". So nothing from the 80s, and pre-1997 I only counted a handful of shows that I could say I saw most if not all of- X-files, B5, Wings, Friends, Seinfeld, Married w/ Children, Fraiser. But for the most part, I just plugged in all the TV shows on
my list of TV shows I watch/favorite shows I used to watch, plus a few that I watched most of but wouldn't really qualify as "favorite shows that ended/got canceled" like Hercules, Xena, Charmed, and Heroes (which again, I didn't see all of) as well as current shows I watch like Almost Human and The Following and the Mentalist, but wouldn't necessarily put on a favorite shows list like 10 years from now.
I figure
clevemire's number is close to mine. We watch a lot of the same shows, but there are some shows I watch he doesn't, and vice-versa. Actually, I bet his is bigger, because he seeks out new TV to watch, whereas I'm content with watching re-runs of SVU and Castle and other crime procedurals on TNT and USA.
TV commentary:
Continuum- Is it wrong that I think Emily is hotter now that they've revealed more of her past and she was this crazy bad-ass criminal? But damn if that Alec stuff doesn't have her confused.
