Continental Breakfasts- I mean, all it means is its a cold breakfast, as opposed to our American breakfasts, which are typically hot. But what pisses me off is places talk like its all fancy, like check out our continental breakfast. Like all they do is put out a few bagels and boxes of cereal and some milk and juice, like you're supposed to act like that's all awesome. I mean, I don't dislike such things for breakfast, but don't act like its more than it is. Like if you had a large selection of cold cuts and cheeses and different types of pastries and wot-not, then you can brag about your continental breakfast.
Like honestly, drop the continental and say its just breakfast, and rave about your breakfast if you serve something more. Like a breakfast buffet with an omelet bar or whatever.
People who post on message boards looking for people to play multi-player with and are all, "only good and serious players"- Like first off, who's going to admit they're shitty? Do they think by putting that caveat, someone will be all, "Owel, I suck, so I guess I can't play with this person." I mean, saying such things also makes you sound like you're so great, because by saying you only want good and serious people, you imply you are so great and only want people of your caliber.
Which there's nothing wrong with wanting to play people of your caliber, because it would suck to play with people who can't play and you end up having to carry, or your team isn't good enough to win. But don't act like you're so great when you're not. Particularly if you post your gamertag and people can see your record. Like saying, "I'm looking for a good team to play gold or platinum because I keep getting stuck with PUGs who suck" is douche-y, but even that's fine, but being all, "doing it solo has been getting boring" is BS when what you really mean is, "I'm am not good enough to play at that level alone". Like why make that caveat that "its getting boring" unless you want to be all, "Oh, I'm so great that I tire of playing alone" when I can see from your profile that you've never extracted from the highest levels solo. So what you really mean is, "its getting boring doing it alone... because I keep getting my ass handed to me."
Like me, I don't think I'm so great, but at the very least, I've completed solo mastery 7 times. Which means I can consistently solo gold at this point. I can say its boring, because I can do it. If you haven't done it, then you can't say its boring!
I just think gamers should show more humility. Like I said, I'm not hot shit, I'm only like 342nd in the world/126th in the US, but you got guys ranked in the 2500s bragging like they're the second coming.
