TV commentary:
The Following- Heh, its Beth from TWD! I was kinda amused by the scene at the bar, given that Walking Dead ep where she wants Daryl to find her alcohol so she can have her first drink. But fool! That's why they're not supposed to pick personal targets! Especially her, since the Feebs already took out her boyfriend, so they might know who she is.
But alas, the other cultist kills her before the boys can persuade her. So Ryan didn't find out much, though it was nice to see him rattle Joe not only by having Carrie announce on the news they captured his mentor, but when he calls Jana, he gets Ryan instead.
Things look like they're coming soon to a head with Mandy and Emma. Mandy seems like she's not into this whole killing cult thing. Emma needs to watch out for that chick, after all, Mandy said Emma's not the only one who killed their mom, and Emma is kinda the mom in this relationship.
And ha, just when Ryan has moved on with Carrie, that's when Claire wants to come back into Ryan's life?! Also, I wonder how Carrie's protective detail feel about having to stand outside when they know she's gone to Ryan's apartment for a booty call?
The Foster- Whoa! I did not see that coming!! Just when it seemed like things were free and clear for the adoption, it turns out Jude and Callie don't have the same father! So Jude has permission from his actual dad to get adopted, but Callie is stuck. What the frick?! Poor Callie! Particularly since Wyatt and Rita and the Girls United chicks show up, and everyone is so happy. Then the news about Robert Quinn being her real father comes out, so they can't adopt her yet, and then Connor says he won't do it without her then. And Callie insists he does, and that she's fine, even though you can see on her face she's about to break down.
I can't blame her for thinking its some sort of conspiracy. But thankfully Rita sets her straight, talks her down from possibly running. Like she tells Callie, there isn't a conspiracy- sure, if you look for all the ways the universe "screwed" you, you can prolly find so many things. But that's no way to live. Stick it out, and wait for your luck to find you.
Also, poor Mariana! like she said, things have been off with her and Jesus because of him trying to get off his meds (but hey, he does decide to go back on them, and manages to patch things up with Emma), Lexi moved away to another country, now her new bf Zack also has to move away because he as to live with his dad because his mom has Alzheimer's.
And poor Jude, with the whole confusing thing with Connor! I mean, he like Connor, and it seemed Connor was also gay and liked him back. So when the girl asked Jude out and Connor was all concerned, it seemed like he was being jealous! But he was, just that he wanted to ask the girl out. So obviously, Jude is "WTF?!" But he tells Connor he can ask the girl out first, but when the girl comes up to Jude, Jude accepts. So then Connor is "WTF?!" And they end up having an argument over it. But it does lead to him having a nice talk with Lena where she says, everyone gets jealous of their friends getting with other people, but at the same time, she would also be fine with him being gay or not. And then he and Connor make up. The jury is still out on Connor's preferences, because he suggest they all three see a movie sometime.
The baby stuff is also a mess. As expected, Timothy refuses to sign the contract, and Stef finally admits to Lena she actually doesn't want her to have the baby because their lives are currently so hectic with all these problems, so of course she was going to end up getting preggers from the insemination. But Stef does actually seem happy about it now that its a reality.
And ha, I was right! I knew there was something weird between Dani and Brandon! Like that first time he saw her and she was clad only in his father's shirt, I was wondering, is this going to turn molest-y at some point? Though I'll confess I didn't expect them to actually go there with it! But what the hell, they did! And what the shit, so Stef plans to wear a wire and bust Ana for trying to extort a cop, but she never shows. Because she's missing. And who got drunk and mysteriously has blood all over his hands? Mike! Of course, that seems too obvious, and we're prolly only meant to think he killed her.
But wah-wah, whatever Vico, you psycho! He's all pissed at Brandon because while Vico's parents are founding members and thus won't let him get expelled, he has to quit wrestling, so now he can't get a scholarship to get out from under his supposedly jerky dad. I mean, when punching Jesus is the least douche-y thing you do, you get no sympathy from me. I mean, he tried to get Callie thrown back in juvie, and then he smashes up Brandon's hand so he can't play piano, just because he and his dad don't get along. Talk about privileged white male problems. His father is a dick, so that justifies trying to ACTUALLY ruin the lives of other people? Punk-ass, I hope he gets what's coming to him.
