Dec. 7th, 2012 08:14 amOne of the frustrating things going from the AC games to something else is the urge to hold a button down to run. Well, I guess in ME you can do quick dashes for a certain amount of time, but its not the same. Also, not being able to climb obstacles.
TV commentary:
Glee- I swear, the writers must be trying to piss off what remaining viewers they have left. They were kinda trolling the Brittana fandom during the Bram part of the storyline with Brit saying if they get together, a lot of angry lesbians would kill him. They had a meta thing going with Brit being all, when she and Santana got together, she started getting a lot of emails and posts on Lord Tubbington's facebook page supporting them. So they could talk about "fans on the boards" and be all wink-wink, we're really talking about actual fans on message boards in real life. Which, do they really want to call them out like that? I mean, Brit finally gets with Sam saying she hopes her sisters will show solidarity since "love is love". Sure, but now that they're practically breaking down the fourth wall and talking straight to the fans, that will prolly open a can of warms.
EDIT- And they did. From the sounds of it the lesbian community would have been fine with the whole thing, iff the show hadn't pulled the shit they did. Because its like they were all, "Oh, you lesbians are going to get mad!" and have Brit make a speech about how they should be okay with it, of course they would feel like they were being scolded! It seems to have the opposite effect of what they intended. Its like, way to infuriate a good portion of your fan base!
But I digress.
They also crapped on the whole Sam/Mercedes relationship. I mean, they never said they actually broke up. They at least spent a few minutes mentioning that Tina and Mike broke up at the beginning of the season because of the long distance thing, but they couldn't even drop a line to say if that happened with Sam and Mercedes. And then Sam saying last night he suspected Santana prolly always got onto him because she detected that he was crushing on Brit and it was jealousy?! Even when he was going out with Mercedes, and went to win her from Shane? WTF, show.
Also annoying, so the rest of the club actually is blaming Marley for passing out during Sectionals, causing them to lose?! No Kitty drove her to it with her psychological warfare? I mean, Santana mentioned suspecting this was Kitty's doing, and she denied it and actually looked like she felt bad, but they don't push further. They think she just tried too hard and exhausted herself and blew it for them?! Again, WTF, show?! I'm sure they'll address this again later, but they shouldn't drag the storyline out, it makes it look like they're not taking the issue seriously. How do they expect the audience to get into the issue if they move away from it weeks at a time?
I mean, part of it can't be helped, the cast has gotten so damn big they can't focus on everything. But I think they really need to run down the Marley storyline first rather than alternate between Ohio and NY. Its fine to alternate within the same ep, but not for an issue as serious as that. They shoulda dedicated one ep to the Sectionals fallout and the Marley stuff, and then spent another ep focusing on the NY stuff. Although I suppose there wasn't too much happening in NYC. Rachel wins that NYADA winter concert thing, the only freshman to ever do so (or do so in years), vindicating her talent to Cassie. And then Whoopi Goldberg gives Kurt one last chance to sing at the concert too, and he manages to finally get in. So at least things go well for them this ep.
