Sep. 15th, 2012 02:22 pmSo had my usual Saturday lunch at Hankook. The Travel Channel was there to film, but I had come just as they were setting up, so no chance to see me in the background or anything.
As I mentioned earlier this week, I saw Nina Dobrev was doing a signing for Seventeen mag at the local Barnes and Noble. Hey, she's was in the top 3 of my hottest babes list two years running, and the bookstore is less than 10 minutes away, I have no excuse not to go. Heh, of course, I only had the confidence to stand in line when I saw I wouldn't be the creepiest weirdo there. I mean, I was still standing in a line that was mostly teenage girls, but I digress. Yeah, I already posted stuff on my other social media sites, but whatever, here's a badly taken pic of her by me whilst standing on line:

Let me tell you, she is so friggin gorgeous in person! Anyhoo, I mentioned I was a fan since Degrassi and she was all, "Oh, that was such a long time ago!" Way to make me feel old! In any case, after the signing I was posting to facebook, twitter, and google+ on my phone about this, then I went to the bathroom. When I got out, I was trapped in the hall for five minutes because a gaggle of girls (as well as the creepy guy that made me feel like I wasn't the creepiest person there) were taking pics with her. (And apparently are already up on tumblr.)
Speaking of posting on my phone, since my contract was up this week, and the current phone was having a couple of weird ishes I couldn't figure out, decided to upgrade to the Galaxy S III. Its thinner than the G2, but its also way bigger! 5" by 2.5", which is kinda big, even for my hands. Like I had trouble navigating twitter and other apps easily. Well, one handed. Its obviously no problem if I hold the phone in my left and use my right to navigate, but on my old phone I could hold it in my right and get to everything with my thumb. This phone is just a tad to big for that. I mean, I can use the phone one handed, but I constantly have to shift my grip.
Part of the problem is that the phone is ultra-smooth, so its hard to grip it in a manner where I feel its secure in my hand, but at the same time be able to easily navigate the screen with my thumb. I do have a case/holster combo on order from Amazon, and the case is textured, which may help things.
