Had to come in to work early Sunday morning to oversee some work. Alas, already ran into a few hiccups, hopefully the rest of the work goes smoothly.
Anyways, so its been ultra convenient moving from my old phone to the new one. Since they were both androids, just logged into the new phone with my google account. What I found really convenient is that it actually remembers all the wireless networks from your old phone, so no having to ask everyone again what the wireless key was at their house to be able to connect to their wifi. I didn't realize it at first. I guess when I first tried connecting to the network at home, my phone must not have fully associated with my account. Because I was trying to log in and couldn't remember the password at first. So I asked
clevemire for it again, and was intending on logging back in but got distracted by the new ep of Transformers: Prime. Only when I do go in to connect to that network, I saw I was already connected. At first I thought I had a brain fart and connected and forgot.
But then when I went to
zarathustra94 and
turdburgler's last night, I was able to connect to their wifi without having to do anything. Seem as when I came into work. So as I said, its rather convenient not having to go through all that again.
Also, play.google.com was incredibly useful in reloading the phone with all the apps I had on my old one (well, most of them, there were a few that weren't available for the new phone, either they were removed from the store, or maybe they wasn't a version for the newer level of android). Just click on the my android apps tab, then selected the new phone, then just clicked install on the programs in my app library, and it sends it over the air to the phone.
I think the biggest pain in the ass was re-setting up google authenticator, and even that wasn't too big a deal. Just switch off two step authentication on your account, and then you reset from scratch with the new phone.
All in all, good to know that the process for moving from one android to another is mostly painless.
