So I saw this vid of Ashley Greene and Olivia Wilde making out on my tumblr dash. I can't remember where I saw the trailer for this movie ("Butter"), but I didn't realize Ashley Greene was in it, and that the movie would have Olivia Wilde seducing her. I mean, I don't think its a major plot point, but like how do you not put that in the trailer? That's gold right there! Also, Ashley Greene is supposed to be Phil Dunphy and Jenny Garner's daughter? I guess Ashley could be playing a teen, and I guess Haley on Modern Family is 18 or thereabouts, so I could believe him as her father, but Garner is too young/Greene too old to play mother and daughter.

So I actually haven't seen any of the leaked early pilots yet, because apparently I've been replaced by a doppleganger. [livejournal.com profile] clevemire mentioned Autumn Reeser looking all hot in the pilot for Last Resort (which also includes Jessy Schram, Dichen Lachman, and some Aussie chick). I always like seeing her in stuff. Which brings me to my Top 4 (I couldn't figure out a 5th) favorite TV actresses who've done a bunch of guest spots, sometimes being a recurring character or one of the secondary credited cast members, but never the starring role:

1) Amy Acker (hey, this is the second list I've put her on in as many days!)
2) Autumn Reeser
3) Larisa Oleynik
4) Alona Tal

I dunno, I just get particularly egg-cited when they show up on a show, even in a guest capacity. Of course, my list title is inaccurate, because Larisa is Alex Mack, so she was the star of that show being the title character, but old shows on Nick don't count! But I would say Winifred Burkle and Taylor Townsend were "secondary" characters on Angel and the OC, respectively.

Tried a new BBQ place tonight, called Bone Lick. It was pretty good, definitely want to go back again and try some other stuff on the menu. I was disappointed you couldn't get the bacon-wrapped sausage as one of the choices for the meat plates. So, since I wanted variety, didn't get to try that out.

TV commentary:

Glee- New episode of Glee. Geez, this show has so many characters now! Quick shocks- Mike and Tina are apparently broken up, no word on whether Sam and Mercedes are still together, he didn't mention her. But anyways, because of their Nationals win, the club is popular now, and flush with people trying out. So they're hanging with the jockos and cheerleaders and succumbing to peer pressure and being total a-holes, making fun of the fat lunch lady and Tina, Britt, Unique and Blaine competing to be the new Rachel. Supposedly, Blaine wins. Rounding out the Glee club are Joe, Sam, Artie, and Sugar.

For some reason, despite being flush with candidates, they only take in new girl Marley, daughter of said fat lunch lady, even though there's that rule that they need at least 12 members to compete. Its not like the other auditioners sucked. I mean, they took in Sugar, who was supposed to be an awful singer. And "Just Jake" was really good. Only he gets pissed when Schue cuts him off during the audition, saying they heard enough and have a lot of auditions to go through. Which Jake takes as them thinking he's not good enough, so he has a meltdown on stage. We (and Mr Schue) later learn he's Puck's half-brother (that Puck is unaware of), and he informs Jake that he cut him off because he was so good that he was guaranteed in (of course, he could have shown more encouragement if that was the case!), but then the meltdown turned him off. But after finding out he was Puck's brother, he offers him a place, not because of nepotism, but because Will thinks it will help with his attitude. But, the younger Puck rejects the offer.

In the end, after new cheerio Kitty and the new jockos egg the Glee club on to making fun of the lunch lady, Marley tearily admits that she's her mother. The club apologizes, pissing off Kitty, and like that they're back on the bottom.

In the graduate side of things, Kurt apparently works at the Lima bean and is generally all pathetic and depresso. Blaine eventually tells Kurt he has to move onto NY, he can deal with the long distance thing and he'll join him in a year. Burt says the same, and after sending his son off, says to himself that Kurt will never be back because his life in NY will be so amazing.

Rachel on the other hand, meets nice guy Brody, a junior who's extremely supportive of her. Not supportive? Rachel's new dance teacher, Ms July, played by Kate Hudson. She's good, but a drunkard. And after Rachel takes umbrage at her bad attitude, Ms July decides to make Rachel her special project and single her out to make her life a living hell.

In the end, Rachel tearily calls Kurt, saying how she misses everyone and how awful things are at school. It was corny, but it did get to me, when Kurt did the whole "turn around" thing and they're together again.

No Finn, Santana, Mercedes or Mike in this ep. Alls I know is that Santana needs to get to NY soon and join Kurt and Rachel.
