First Listen Friday! Hollywood Reporter has Glee's version of Stereo Hearts, while the rest can be found at the usual place.

Stereo Hearts- by Gym Class Heroes and Adam Levine. Its the other Glee project winner, Samuel Larsen's first song on the show, sung with Sam and Mercedes. Its okay.

Cherish/Cherish- To answer my question from earlier, sounds like its the Association and Madonna versions. Its an ensemble piece, and separately, the Association and Madonna parts sound really pretty. I'm just not too keen on how they combined them though. Separately, these would have been great. Quinn sounds a lot like Madonna in it though.

Home- the Michael Buble song, as done by Rory. Wow, he sounds really good in this.

I Will Always Love You- the site lists the original as done by Whitney Houston! Granted, its sung the way Whitney sang it, but the original is by Dolly Parton! Anyways, this one's done by Mercedes and is a really great rendition.

L-O-V-E: The Nat King Cole classic. Done by Mike and Tina. Its a beautiful sounding duet. Wow, I've said this before, but Mike deserves recognition as like most improved singer on the cast. I don't know if he was intentionally sounding bad on last seasons' "Sing!" (The Chorus Line number, not the My Chemical Romance one) but he's actually had several songs this season. Nice to see him do more than just do the dancing.

Let Me Love You- By Mario. I'll confess, I'm not familiar with this song at all. It sounds okay for what it is.

Love Shack- The B-52s hit, another ensemble number. They claim its Mercedes, Kurt, Blaine, Brit, and Rachel. I mean, I definitely hear Kurt, Brittany, Mercedes, and Rach, but that doesn't sound like Blaine. I guess it might be him, but this is not his usual kind of song. In any case, its sounds really fun.

You're the Top- by Cole Porter. Hmm, sounds like this is done by Rachel's dads. Its sung fine, but its not my style.

Heh, so that E! online poll for TV's top couple for 2012 is in the final round. So Faberry beat out Britanna and Destiel beat Jannie. So the finals are Rachel/Quinn vs Dean/Castiel, and the wild card Kurt/Blaine. So, ha, not only are all the couples same sex couples, two of them are from Glee?! I'm surprised Klaine was the wild card, I figured the poll would want some heterosexual representation on there.

I'm also amused how the poll is claiming Dean/Castiel and Quinn/Rachel are bromances and galmances, respectively. You may be able to claim that about Dean and Castiel, but Quinn and Rachel weren't really friends until all that recently. In any case, the people who ship both of those pairs definitely don't ship it in a "really good friends" sort of way. According to the stats, they both are neck and neck at 39.5%, whereas Klaine is in the 20% range. So I actually have no idea who's going to win, since both have strong fandoms.

Looks like First Listen Fridays isn't just for Glee, the songs for next week's Smash have leaked also. So in addition to another original song, Katharine Mcphee is covering Blondie's "Call Me", while Megan Hilty is doing Carrie Underwood's "Crazy Dreams". Supposedly the Smash songs will come out on itunes Monday nights, so I guess Smash songs are available after the ep, since the show is on Monday, while Glee's are available before the ep, since its on Tuesdays?

Speaking of Glee, the performance leak of the week is for Stereo Hearts:

Heh, the Faberry fans are all giddy over the Quinn/Rachel moments during this song. I definitely can't wait to see the context of this song, because why is some random new guy making these huge gestures to Rach? Did the club find out about the engagement, and this is their way of telling her she should continue to play the field?

TV commentary:

Nikita- It really sucks the ratings for Nikita aren't so hot, because they've really ramped up the intrigue. spoiler cut )

Fringe- Heh, I was surprised it took them so long to figure out what was happening in the town. spoiler cut )
