Looks like First Listen Fridays isn't just for Glee, the songs for next week's Smash have leaked also. So in addition to another original song, Katharine Mcphee is covering Blondie's "Call Me", while Megan Hilty is doing Carrie Underwood's "Crazy Dreams". Supposedly the Smash songs will come out on itunes Monday nights, so I guess Smash songs are available after the ep, since the show is on Monday, while Glee's are available before the ep, since its on Tuesdays?
Speaking of Glee, the performance leak of the week is for Stereo Hearts:
Heh, the Faberry fans are all giddy over the Quinn/Rachel moments during this song. I definitely can't wait to see the context of this song, because why is some random new guy making these huge gestures to Rach? Did the club find out about the engagement, and this is their way of telling her she should continue to play the field?
TV commentary:
Nikita- It really sucks the ratings for Nikita aren't so hot, because they've really ramped up the intrigue. Heh, so Percy goes after the lady who got Nikita clean, Carla. At first, you think he's trying to kill this lady to hurt Nikita. But nope, turns out it was a ruse. He knew Nikita would try to find Carla to protect her, so he lets Nikki do the leg work. But he doesn't want to kill Carla, he wants to talk. Since Roan and Patrick have Nikita and Michael pinned down after they find her, she gives herself up to Percy and they drive off, leaving Nikita really confused.
And pissed, because she thinks Carla may have recruited her even as far back as then. But it turns out its all a complete coincidence. Sort of. Anyways, Carla used to be Division (well, it wasn't called that back then) pre-Michael, along with Amanda, Percy, and Roan. And she's apparently friendly with the latter two, even showing concern about Roan's scarred face. Amanda however, had a standing kill order on her, with an even higher priority than Percy and Nikita. Carla has no idea why Amanda is gunning for her, she tells Percy that one day Amanda's attitude changed towards her, which is why she left.
We find out at the end that Carla was actually the brainchild of Division. But she hadn't been looking to recruit Nikita- she had already cut ties with Division by then and running a half way house of sorts. Two cops were trying to shake her down, when Nikita showed up all high and drugged up. One of her friends was going for a phone to report the crooked cops, and one of them thought he was going for a gun, and shot him dead. The cops wanted to cover it up, and started getting rough with Carla. In the fracas, Nikita got a hold of a gun, and shot the cop who shot her friend.
Which was the crime she got sent to death row for, which of course led to her recruitment to Division. But what had happened was Carla had touched the gun when she took it away from Nikita after killing the guy. So her fingerprint was on it, which sent flags to Division, which in turn got Nikita on their radar. So Carla had inadvertently got Nikita recruited by Division, even though she would never have wanted Nikita in there. But now, seeing how strong Nikita has become, thinks its the best thing that ever happened to her. Even throwing about "destiny".
As for Alex, she, Amanda, and Sonya are working on the plan for Alex to take back her place on the Zetrov. Which apparently involves her going on the news and revealing she's alive? But we don't get far with the plot, since Division and Michael/Nikita are busy chasing down Percy and Carla.
Fringe- Heh, I was surprised it took them so long to figure out what was happening in the town. I mean, as soon as the diner guy began acting all odd (I apparently missed the double irises, though), I though, "Oh, this is a universe merging thing!" Particularly when the guy they rescued told the story about his sister shooting her husband of 18 years and claiming she'd never met the man. So when they saw the lady with the two sets of teeth, and the guy mentioned not taking a job in Philly, I was all, "Ah, the immune people are immune because their counterparts aren't in the town in the other universe".
Also, I hope they contacted the other universe to tell them a town on their side was just wiped out any why, if they weren't aware of the sitch already.
Interesting though, it seems like Olivia is starting to remember the original timeline. At the end of the ep, she even kisses Peter, thinking they're together. And Peter's all "What the?!" as if it was ccv('Inappropriate!') or something. As I've said before, I still think he's wrong and there's not a "his own universe" for him to go back to. Maybe this is the first evidence of it, with Liv's old memories bleeding into the current timeline.
