TV commentary:

The Office- What the frick?! So they had been dropping hints that Cathy's totally into Jim over the season. And then, when they were both going to be on the same team going to Florida, I started thinking, "Wait a minute, the show's not going where I think they're going?!" But then at the end tag, Cathy is talking with someone one the phone about banging Jim while they're down there.

Normally, I'd be totally up for that kind of plotline. But not on the Office! And particularly not with Jim and Pam! I'm not saying this because I was a big PB&J shipper back in the day, but because there's nowhere good this plot can go. I mean, Cathy is pretty cute and all, but there's no way Jim would do that to Pam. Even if you don't care about that relationship stuff on the show, one has to admit as a character, that's not Jim. He may be a prankster, and kinda an underachiever (well, maybe "settler" is more appropriate), but he's not the kinda guy who would cheat on his wife. So him actually cheating would make no friggin' sense and be totally out of character.

And on the other side of things, if nothing happens, but someone tells Pam that Jim cheated, no way she would believe them. Again, shipper glasses aside, from what Pam knows of Jim's character, there's no way she would believe he would do something like that. So if there's no way Jim would cheat, and no way Pam would think he cheated, what's the point of this plot? Because if either of those happens, it does not make cents! And this isn't Gossip Girl, or one of the other dramas I watch, so Cathy pulling off some crazy crap to make Pam think she and Jim did it is not this show either.

Anyways, I would find it hilarious if Val was totally lying and she's a cheater, because her mom sounding like a guy on the phone, and having a guy name is a little far-fetched.

For some reason, I like it when the show shows the characters actually liking their job and doing a good job at it. I mean, most of the time, the show is about how they're a lousy office, but in previous seasons, I enjoyed that even though Michael did some pretty idiotic things, he can actually be pretty good at his job. Well, I guess the key was he's not the greatest manager, but he's actually a really good salesman.

But I digress, I actually liked the part where Dwight was pissed about who he had to bring, and didn't expect anything from his people or the meeting, but everyone, even Erin really surprised him. Even Jim refrained from acting like a dick, and actually seemed serious about this project. I guess maybe its that while it is amusing to see the Office be just ridiculous and the branch being a mess, its nice to see them have moments of competence, to show how they, out of all the Dunder-Mifflin Branches, were actually "the best", and the only part to survive after DM went under.

Oh, and as for Erin not coming back from Florida after the trip, is she just going to quit and move there? Find a job at Sabre corporate? They're obviously trying to make Andy and Erin the new Jim and Pam, which I'm fine with, because I actually like that plot, but its interesting that even though Erin's the receptionist, it seems she's turned into the Jim of the pairing.
