I guess I can be pretty chauvinist. Like I saw this one chick the other day walking with some of the guys from one of the other groups. And I totally assumed she was like one of their gfs visiting or something. And I come to find out this morning, nope, she's another employee. Oops.

Also, while I am a total banana (and on more than one occasion having forgotten my Asian-ness), I do have some Flip pride. Like I always find it cool to find out some actor or actress is Filipino or part Filipino. I mean, my family went on and on about Charice being on Glee, which is fine and all, but I thought it was pretty cool to find out Blaine was part-Flip.

And I've noticed finding out some chick is part Flip has made them more attractive to me at times. Like I've always liked Vanessa Hudgens and her having Flip ancestry is just gravy. But yeah, Make It or Break It, I always liked "Kelly Parker" because its totally a cute chick name to me, and I'll admit, I dig the meatball head hairstyle. But finding out Nicole Anderson was a Filipina did attract me more. (What's up with her mom on the show being played by Kathy Najimy?! No wonder it was a surprise when they revealed she was Kelly Parker's mother!)

Same for Emily on PLL. I thought she was cute, but for some reason, once I found out she was half Filipino she suddenly got hotter in my eyes. (At least her mother on the show is played by Nia Peeples, who unlike the aforementioned Kathy Najimy and Nicole Anderson, does look like she could be Shay's mother) Even Manny on Degrassi (whom the Pirate Captain on Venture Brothers named his boat after!), I liked her more once I found out she was Filipino and not some kinda Spanish. Not that I don't like Latina chyx, I just felt it was more special that she was one of my kind.

Even pr0n chyx, like Brooke Milano, Michelle Maylene, or Renae Cruz (I know there's another big one I'm missing), I always thought it was cool they had some Filipino in them. (Though disappointing that they don't do "certain things". Well the last one does some of those things, but hasn't done that other thing I like, even though its like, she's gone that far, why not take that extra step) So though it may not seem it, I do have an appreciation for my heritage.

You know, I remember reading Lemonade Mouth's Naomi Scott (who you can also see this fall as the daughter in the upcoming sci-fi show Terra Nova on Fox) was English, but I totally forgot because she was really good at hiding the accent in the movie (even when singing!). And she has a pretty strong accent, too. Like some people you can tell are really British, but I don't think she was one of them. Like hearing her actual accent was quite surprising.

Some comic book lists making the rounds:

Topless Robot's 11 X-men who weren't actually mutants: Juggernaut, who gets his power from the Ruby Gem of Cytorrak. Yes, not a mutant. Longshot, who is an alien construct, agreed, not a mutant. Hepzibah, an alien cat-girl, also not a mutant. But, I don't think they should count de-powered Storm from the 80s, or the currently de-powered Magneto! They're still mutants, they just lost their powers. Oh, and in case you were wondering, yes, both Juggernaut and Magneto were in the X-men roster at one point or another.

UGO's Top 25 superpower upgrades that kicked ass- Huh, I did not realize they went all crazy with Cypher's powers. I mean, while being able to instantly understand every language can be extremely useful, its not as useful in a fight against other super powered folks. Although the whole "reading body language" thing is straying into Echo/Taskmaster/Finesse territory.

I thought Clock Blockers was an interesting concept:

I'm kinda curious if the concept is based on some video game or something. But it is a cool exercise in 4-dimensional thinking.

The trailer for the latest iteration of Tomb Raider looks pretty incredible, and not as uncanny-valley-ish as you'd expect:

Hmm, I didn't think Darksiders did well enough to warrant a sequel. This time, instead of playing war, you play death. Of course, I'm not sure if they could do any other sequels with the other Horsemen. Death and War have always been the "coolest" of the horsemen, I doubt there's much desire to play Famine or Pestilence.

While I'm on the topic of video games, since the PS store is finally up, I got some of that DW7 DLC. Alas, not all of the stuff that's already come out is available yet, but I did get the DW and DW6 costumes, the Nanman campaign stages, and the dagger-axe (why do they call it that instead of the scythe?) and bombs. Well, I also downloaded the Japanese voice option, even though I'd never use it, because I'm OC like that. Its free, so why not get it for completeness' sake.

It is totally annoying that even thought the scythe was Yue Ying's weapon, she's not even effin' proficient in it, and there's no "dagger axe master" seal! What moron let this happen? I was hoping to switch to that instead of the staff, but I guess I can't. The bombs are an interesting enough weapon, I was thinking they'd be awkward to use, but they aren't really. Also interesting, it seemed that in Conquest mode the highest you could get was a +4 stat boost from an officer drop, but cool, it looks like in the Nanman stages, you can get +8s. Of course, given the length of just the first stage, its prolly still more efficient to just repeat champions of chaos over and over.

I do almost have all the trophies though. Just need to pick up the last of Meng Huo's skills, and that should get me the penultimate trophy, which will in turn give me the "got all trophies" trophy.
