Jun. 21st, 2009 02:12 pmOne good thing about the transition to digital, is now I can watch TV in my room without getting interference from the over the air signal- it was plugged directly into the cable, rather than a box, so cw/cbs and comedy central were getting interference from whatever was broadcasting on 10 and 69 respectively. Well, CBS/CW weren't that bad, but Comedy Central was unwatchable. But now, those channels come in clear.
Got my dock extender cable in the mail yesterday. I had recently got an invisible shield for my ipod nano, as well as a CD/ipod capable clock radio. Unfortunately, even though the invisible shield is only millimeters thick, that somehow made it really difficult to plug it into the nano dock adapter. Which is just as well, because I also keep my nano in one of those neoprene sleeve/cases, which I would have to take it out of to plug into the dock. But, this company, Cable Jive makes a dock extender cable, so I can keep it in the case and still connect to my radio. Besides, plugging a cable into the ipod, I feel less worried than I do plugging it directly into the dock, particularly trying to feed it through the dock adapter. I felt like I was going to break something the latter way. In any case, I'm glad I'm no longer relegated to earphones trying to listen to my ipod at home.
Exalted talk: ( geekery cut )
