The other day I was talking with
clevemire and
phatjoe how my view of famous peeps' famosity is kinda skewed. Like people I would qualify as
geebs-famous would be like D or F-listers by normal people. Still, I would think any of these self-professed "entertainment gossip" blog type sites should be at least knowledgable of such people.
Like the other day, I saw
this article talking about how "some hot chick" was cast in "The Rum Diary". That "some hot chick" was Amber Heard. Now, I can understand them not knowing she was one of the stars of short lived CW-series "Hidden Palms". But she was also the love interest in both "Pineapple Express" and "Never Back Down", two movies that particular site had several articles on. Do they even watch the movies they talk about?!
This article mentions Krysten Ritter (no relation to John or his son Jason) as a new hottie on the scene. She's not exactly "new", I mean, recurring roles on Veronica Mars (as Steve Guttenberg's character's daughter, Gia) and Gilmore Girls, and she had small roles in a couple of chick flyx like "27 Dresses" and "What Happens in Vegas". Okay, mebbe she's not so famous. But the article also lists her as possibly being in the planned Gossip Girl prequel (about young Lily Van Der Woodsen), referring to it as "a hit NBC series". Again, if your whole site is supposed to be talking about this Hollywood crap, you should at least get your facts straight!
