Heh, [livejournal.com profile] clevemire pointed me out to this word on Urban Dictionary:

pre-sequitur

Those who speak with me irl on a regular basis will say I'm the master of the pre-sequitur. Although technically, I think sometimes I'm even a step above that. Because its not only me suddenly referencing something from several minutes ago, its often times not a direct reference. Like I could be talking to someone about Claire on Heroes, then five minutes later after the subject of Claire is long and gone, I'd say something like, what's with the Bluths each having their own version of the chicken dance? In my head, I've gone from Claire to Hayden Panettiere to her playing Ally Mcbeal's biological daughter to Nell to Portia De Rossi to Arrested Development. So it makes sense to me, but I guess not everyone would make that jump.

Last night over dinner with the usual suspects, talking about Heroes, someone brought up with the Writer's Strike still on, we should become scabs and send our own ideas for scripts. Somehow, the idea of a sitcom with Noah raising both Claire and Elle came up. Hey, retired spy tries to raise two young and nubile polar opposite daughters? Its no Lana Lang/Kara Zor El Bubble Bath hour, but it smells like a winner! Especially if Claire and Elle end each ep learning a valuable life lesson, and then have a pillow fight in their undies... with sexy results! The show should have them tussle a little more. In bikinis. In a tub of jello. Hey, they have like Peter and Sylar going around shirtless and a lot of the male interaction lends itself to slash-ful thoughts. There needs to be hot lesbo action to even things out!

Anyways, last night's Gossip Girl was about the debutante ball. ND was over while I was watching, and didn't know the whole debutante thing and learning to cotillion dance and all that jazz actually happened. He thought it was just something that happens on TV shows. As I've said before, I can say from experience that it still does (as can [livejournal.com profile] isabel79 and [livejournal.com profile] 7500centfish). Anyways, spoiler commentary: under the cut )
