Have not had a chance to get a decent night's sleep all week. I've been wanting to hit Oxford and the mall, but after work I just feel like napping. Maybe its a good thing, because if I go to the mall, I'll buy new games. I already put $5 on Prince of Persia 2 since I had that much left over on store credit. Karaoke Revolution 3 is already out as is Metal Gear Solid 3, both of which I'm on the fence on. Sure KR3 has some new songs, but more than a few are duets, and it just doesn't seem like it'll be as fun without other people. And MGS3 looks impressive but its also a little intimidating. It seems all too fancy with the catching and eating and battlefield surgery in addition to the normal "tactical espionage action". PoP2 sounds like it'll be hard too. When did video games become hard or overwhelming to me? I'm not that old. Eh, its just as well I don't get a new game, as though the roomie has completed the main plot in San Andreas, he's on LOTR: The Third Age. Looks neat, even though, as the Penny Arcade guys say its the exact same system as FFX. Its uncanny. I wonder if Square leased them the system or something. It is fun to watch and find myself shouting "Nazgul!" every so often before a random encounter, though the roomie has yet to face those again. He is in Moria though, so I'm sure the Balrog will be a boss. But I'm glad the roomie is playing games again, I hate going to sleep in the quiet, so hearing him play downstairs is a comfort. Maybe its growing up in a crowded household in NYC, but I'm used to going to sleep with things still bustling around. I don't know how I'd ever handle the suburbs when I "grow up". I mean, the remoteness freaked me out whenever I'd stay over at [livejournal.com profile] psyched_out's house. And now that I think about it, the quietness used to get to me when I'd sleep over the weekends at [livejournal.com profile] isabel79 and [livejournal.com profile] 7500centfish's place when we were kids. Maybe that's why their house is always haunted in my dreams.

Sorry for the increase in the number of posts as of recent, but I find if I don't keep myself occupied, I'm liable to pass out. Well, I no longer have POTO stuck in my head. For some reason I have Journey's "Separate Ways" stuck in my head now. Well, most likely because of Ryan saying he likes Journey in last night's OC. Was Separate Ways what he had blaring on the stereo of the Range Rover last season when he was driving Seth to the airport to see Anna in "The Goodbye Girl"? It does have a beat, especially with the cool synthesizer. (It sucks that its hard to translate certain sounds into words, as I can totally mimic the synthesizer part with my mouth, but obviously I can't with words, so if I tried youse wouldn't know what the hell I was talking about.) Though whenever I think of that particular song, I always think back to the Beavis and Butthead ep where they were watching this video and they were all, "These guys are old!" And they are! And they didn't even look like a cool, rock-star old. They just looked like a bunch of old guys who still thought they were in high school.

Damn, I'm hungry. Just 20 minutes til lunch though. Though I'm unsure of what to get. I mean, I have burger king every week, and I don't feel like tacos or sushi. And I had a chicken salad last night. I've never tried their samiches yet. And pizza hut is on a whole different floor. At dinner last night with the roomie and [livejournal.com profile] dashoka we were talking about Junior's breakfast. I sure could go for one of their melt in your mouth sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits one of these days. But I don't know if they'd be too keen on me going out for breakfast and lunch. Then again, what's his face is always off galvanting, doing who knows what, screwing around. So I could use a break. Of course, this is my last weekday before Thanksgiving, so alas, I won't be able to get a biscuit for a couple of weeks. Dang.
