TV commentary:

Supergirl- That was a surprise! So that rock flying towards Earth with a sample of what they need to possibly cure Reign apparently has the last remaining Kryptonian city, Argo City. And who's there? Allura! At first I thought it was a trick, but nope, they really made her alive again. Apparently Kara's dad was able to use a large bit of the rock they need to erect a forcefield protecting the city.

So getting even a little piece will be a big thing. But should it really? I mean, because of the way the forcefield works, they haven't been able to communicate with the outside world. But now that Kara and Mon El know they're there, they can just contact Superman and/or all the aliens they know to take them to a place where they don't have to be reliant on the forcefield.

In any case, Kara pleads her case to the council, one of whom is "the Dark Kryptonian" who'd been advising the Worldkillers. Too bad Kara has never seen her and thus realize she's a threat. Oddly enough, the lady votes yes to give Kara a piece of the rock. Now, did she do that because she's not as evil as her holographic counterpart back on Earth? Or is she doing something sneaky?

In any case, we don't find out this ep, as Kara and Mon El arrive just as Reign finally gets strong enough to break out of her cage.

iZombie- Heh, I guess that could've been the series finale. So the gang finds out about Liv's impending execution, and they all rally together to rescue her. First by leaking Levon's documentary (heh, narrated by Paul Rudd! I'm amused that somehow in that world they randomly got Paul Rudd to do it), and then Peyton going on TV imploring the people of the Seattle to stop the execution.

Heh, the crowd doesn't get in fast enough to prevent Levon's execution (seriously, another dead boyfriend?! Also, amusing that Justin is back, so how awkward is all that- her bfs are either dead or work for Fillmore-Graves), but they do manage to save Liv. And in the fracas, Chase dies- in trying to grab a gun from the floor, for some reason he crawls through the guillotine, so Liv smashes his head.

So now Major is in command, and he organizes Fillmore Graves into taking care of the other big issue this ep. So Frenchie is secretly working for Blaine, and tells him where Blaine's dad and his followers should try to break out of the city in order to enact the plan to infect the country.

They stop the attack, with Blaine's dad dying in the process. To his credit, Blaine didn't want his father to lead the attack, wanted him to stay back until the breakout was successful. He was prolly sad about him, but he was also upset at his real estate plan being screwed. Though his luck turns around quickly- since the US has decided to cut off brain supplies, Major decides to enter into an alliance of convenience with Blaine- use his sources, now backed by Fillmore Graves, to up brain smuggling to be able to feed the city.

As for Liv, she wants to retire after losing yet another boyfriend. So Ravi offers her the cure. Which for some reason requires her to consume all of Isobel's brain. But just before she does, they're called to Clive's wedding to Dale. And it was pretty obvious Liv would see this and decide to give the cure to Dale so Clive could have kids. Which, they're so blase about these cures. Like, if Dale was cured, wouldn't that be a big freaking deal?! Wouldn't people wonder about it? Or ask Ravi for his research to figure out how to make a viable cure?

But yeah, after seeing how many people she touched and how much they want her to continue to be Renegade, looks like she's continuing with that. So, this could've been a fine end to the series.
