[livejournal.com profile] dholliday and [livejournal.com profile] ladygzb came over Friday night, since they'll soon be gone. The usual suspects were around, including [livejournal.com profile] psyched_out and the wifey. No sis though, we thought it would be a double occasion with her gradulating and all, but she was hanging with her parentals. Anyways, hung out, played some poker with krug, joseph, kramer, and his elflady. Not for real money of course, as I'm not a gambling man. That, and I try to use my psychic powers to get a read on the cards but that hardly ever works. I think when I get a strong desire for a certain outcome, it throws off my interpretation.

The ESP Test

geebs, when it comes to psychic abilities, you have an unusually strong talent in the area of Precognition

This means you have an uncanny ability to look into the future and know ahead of time what is going to happen. You might, for instance, simply know that you're going to get that job before the interview even happens with a certainty that exceeds what you would expect to have simply knowing the facts of the situation. You might have a sense of dread before going out for the evening only to later have a flat tire on your way home. These little hunches are easy to ignore but for you especially, quite often lead to a true prediction of what is going to happen. These predictions can be used to generate positive outcomes, and the more you know about how to use your talent, the more you will be able to distinguish between fantasy of the future and an actual reality you are seeing happen, before it has actually happened.

Saw American Wedding Saturday aftern0on. I enjoyed it. Alyson Hannigan looked very pretty in it. Then again, she's always been a hottie. I think it was longer than the first two, though it seems like they cut some stuff out, because there were things that were mentioned in E!'s Behind the Scenes that weren't in the movie. And there is a part or two that looked left over from some missing part of the story.

Sunday was a lazy day. Watched some DC and Buffy on DVD. Eliza Dushku, looking quite gorgeous. I guess I hadn't seen Graduation Day part 1 in a long time, but in that fight scene in Faith's apartment, I never noticed how totally obvious it was that it wasn't them in certain scenes. I guess I never really paid attention until TWoP had mentioned it.

I watched Double Date as well. I think I only saw the ep once back in '99 or whenever it first showed and even then I was only half paying attention. Having seen how the series turned out, I was curious to watch it to see if it fit in with the whole storyline. And it did, I think at the end of that ep, Pacey had legitimately fallen for her as early as that point in the series, but since she was obviously in love with Dawson at the time, and he knew Dawson, albiet confused, had feelings for her, he let it go, content as long as she was happy (a sentiment he echoed in the finale). He only pursued her in s3 because he thought they were over each other and that it would be okay for him to start going out with her.

Owel, I actually had to leave in the middle of this post for about an hour and a half to move furniture but now I'm back. Todd came in today, having said Eight Legged Freaks and was talking about the chick who played Kari Wurher's daughter. So, I checkd imdb and looked it up. It was Scarlett Johansson, who is indeed wicked cute. I guess its cause I grew up watching Kari Wuhrer, and she is old enough to have a daughter Scarlett Johansson's age, but it just seems odd. Owel, I need to go wash my hands and grab lunch.
