So [personal profile] clevemire was telling me about Superhot, and it actually ended up coming out for the PS4 this past Friday, discounted for PS+ members. Had it set to download while I was up in NYC, so it was ready to play when I got back this afternoon.

Its pretty fun. Its a shooter where the premise is time only moves when you move. So you get to plan out your strategy and be where the enemies' bullets aren't. There are two things I quickly had to learn- one, since time only moves when you move, that applies to your shots as well. So you can't actually fire off another shot until your gun has finished firing. Second, its easy to get tunnel vision and not realize some guy has come up behind you. But once I realized that was a thing, I got used to having to check my surroundings to make sure I'm not about to get blindsided.

TV commentary:

Game of Thrones- Some interesting happenings. So Arya was apparently unaware her family had destroyed the Boltons and retaken Winterfell. Which I was thinking before, how would she not know, but I guess its not like there's TV or the internet to give her up to date news. But then, on the other hand, if she had heard the Boltons had Winterfell, surely she had heard Sansa was their prisoner. So its weird that she would head down to King's Landing to kill Cersei if she thought her sister was in trouble. She couldn't use her fancy assassin skills to try and rescue her?

But yeah, she learns the news from Hot Pie, and head towards Winterfell. Along the way she runs into Nymeria, whom she asks to come with her back home, but sadly she realizes Nymeria's not hers anymore, and lets her go again.

In Dragonstone, Dany and Varys have a heart to heart, since you know, he tried to have her killed in the earlier seasons. He makes it clear he has the best interests of the people at heart, and won't suffer an incompetent or crazy ruler. So she's all, I forgive you, but if he ever thinks she's out of control, to tell her to her face, not scheme to take her out.

Then Melisandre shows up, and tells her of the prophecy. Missandei says the noun used in the prophecy has no gender in High Valyrian, so its entirely possible the prophecy could apply to her. Melisdandre knows all to well prophecies can be dangerous if misinterpreted, so all she'll commit to is that Dany possibly has a role to play. Anyways, Melisandre asks her to ally with Jon Snow.

Davos thinks it would be wise- Dany has dragons, which breathe fire, which kills the wights. Plus, Jon also gets the raven from Sam saying Dragonstone is full of dragonglass. So he resolves to go down there, which doesn't sit well with his people. After all, the last time a Stark went to see a Targaryen, they were roasted by the Mad King. Heh, Jon says its his choice, and tells his sister, "You're in charge!" which kinda causes her misgivings to melt away.

Before he leaves, Jon has a talk with Littlefinger, wherein the latter makes creepy gestures towards Sansa, so Jon chokes him and threatens to kill him if he touches Sansa. Which, he should be careful, last time someone did that, he ended up being beheaded by the king.

I kinda feel bad for Tyrion, and definitely bad for the Sand Snakes and Theon and Yara. Tyrion is trying to do the wise thing- they could just stomp over King's Landing, but that would result in a lot of death, and the Seven Kingdoms might not accept her rule. Especially if they feel they were defeated by foreign invaders. So, he wants the Tyrells and Dorne to be the ones to besiege King's Landing, since those are Westerosi troops. Meanwhile, the Unsullied will attack Casterly Rock.

Its a sound plan. Too bad Euron ambushes the fleet taking the Martells back to Dorne. Euron kills Whale Rider and Coleen Wing, captures Ellaria and her actual daughter, as well as Yara. People are pissed at Theon for chickening out and running away, but honestly, all him attacking Euron would've done was gotten both him and his sister killed.

Also, I totally forgot until Tyrion brought it up at the council meeting, but it occurred to me he wouldn't be too thrilled allying with Dorne since Ellaria killed his niece.

Other stuff, Sam tries to cure Jorah of Greyscale. Heh, some people were wondering what would cause Sam to care, but then the show reminds us Jorah is Jeor's son, so of course Sam would help!

Speaking of Sam, Jamie also tries to get Sam's dad, who's ostensibly an ally of the Tyrells, to be general of the Lannister armies.
