TV commentary:

Better Call Saul- Well, that was a shock! So Howard calls Chuck's bluff. It was clear Chuck didn't want to bankrupt the firm, he just thought he could flex his muscles and they would back down. But Howard would rather pay Chuck out of his own pocket and put himself in debt in order to oust Chuck. And that was when Chuck had truly lost everything.

And so his condition finally got the better of him. He destroyed his house trying to find whatever was drawing power, as the meter was still running even with all the breakers off. Sitting there in his ruined home, his life destroyed, he kills himself in a rather gruesome fashion. He knocks over his gas lantern, setting his home ablaze with him in it.

I mean, we don't see him actually die, but it would be a huge cop out if he somehow survived. His story is over, and it will be interesting to see how Jimmy, Kim, and Howard react. For all the bad blood between them at the end, he was a mentor to all of them. Jimmy in particular, since his last conversation was Chuck telling him he didn't matter to him.

It was nice to see Jimmy blow up his reputation and let the Sandpiper case continue, even if it meant he wouldn't be paid right then and there, in order to reconcile Irene with his friends. Of course, he can no longer practice Elder law since the old people basically told all their friends about how he was a slimeball. Which, is that why he became Saul Goodman? Because "Jimmy Mcgill" became persona non grata?

And looks like Kim's taking a break after her accident. Which is what prompts Jimmy to try and reconcile with Chuck, to blow up the Sandpiper deal in order to help Irene. Francesca tries to help Kim keep up her schedule, but Kim realizes she's been working herself to the bone and its not worth it. So she recommends another firm to the one guy (but at least she gets some steaks out of the deal!) and has Francesca tell Mesa Verde that she'll need some time.

So with Kim taking a break and Jimmy suspended, Jimmy finally decided to shutter the office, which means he had to let Francesca go. Though obviously he gets her back later.

No Mike this ep, but Hector Salamanca finally has his heart attack screaming at the Cartel and Gus for what he perceives as being forced out. Which is lucky for Nacho, as he was ready to shoot Hector in the face. Now, he's in place to switch the pills back. Interesting though, as Gus gives him a look after Hector is wheeled off. Did he know what happened?

What I find interesting though, is in Breaking Bad, since Gus was going after Walter, we the audience breathed a sigh of relief (well, reluctant relief, since Gus was cool) when Walter helped Hector blow Gus up. But man, meeting Hector when he was well, fuck that guy! What a fucking cocky prick, the way he smugly treated Nacho's father.

PLL- Wait, what the hell is going to happen next?!! So the Liars are free and clear, with Mary Drake taking the fall for killing Arthur Dunhill, as well as her sister. Tanner accepts it, because its cleaner than trying to figure out where the Liars fit in all this. And we find out Mona killed Charlotte!

But there's some twists there. At first, you think she murdered Charlotte because Charlotte was getting ready to terrorize everyone again. But Mona only made Charlotte think she was going to throw her off the roof. She only want to make Charlotte feel like what it felt for her and her friends. She lets Charlotte go, but then Charlotte taunts her, saying no one will believe her, and they tussle, and Mona accidentally pushes Charlotte into a protruding piece of metal on the wall, killing her.

And obviously Mona was not AD! As I said last week, getting back into the game was like giving an alcoholic a beer. Mona had a breakdown after being drawn back into this mess, regressing to her nerdy self. (Which to be fair, she looked cute!)

So with the major deaths all answered, the game tells the liars they won! I mean, it feels like the end. But I guess they still don't know who AD is, and the ep ends with AD driving off into the sunset. Which with the Liars no longer under AD's thumb, and AD taking off, how the hell are things going to go next week? It seems like AD is done, and the Liars have no reason to mess with them, so it seems something crazy will have to happen to put them back on each AD's tail (or is it sights?)
