Mar. 30th, 2017 09:50 pmME:A blather- So I finished Liam's loyalty mission, which was pretty fun. Then I went to Kadara, and holy crap suddenly there's a whole lot to do! Its almost a little too overwhelming! But its a good thing.
TV commentary:
The Expanse- Wow, that was a surprise! Errinwright actually has a crisis of conscience, and tells Chrisjen (and the audience) everything. Turns out after the Eros incident he lost the stomach for proto molecule experimentation, and throws himself at the mercy of Chrisjen, as these secret experiments to get an edge over Mars is not worth the possible extinction of mankind. Between that and showing Bobby a pic of the possible thing she saw, I'm glad more people are sharing knowledge, putting the pieces together.
The Magicians- Interesting. Before this latest time line change, when Julia never went to Brakebills, turns out she was like one of Dean Fogg's favorite students. Which its kinda sad that that mentorship was lost this time around.
It is interesting how things have shifted all around. Eliot is dealing with the wedding, not knowing the faeries are coming for him and Fen's child, something Margo is trying to take care of. Too bad Fen just got grabbed by them. Meanwhile, with Niffin Alice gone, and Quentin getting a vision of Julia's shade, they're back together, working to restore it.
And since Julia's busy with that, Kady has taken up the kill Reynard task, which will probably lead to conflict with Penny, as she's told by Marlee Matlin's new magician character (who runs a clickbait site, and apparently clickbait are secret encoded messages for magicians) that there is no knowledge the Library doesn't have. And they straight up lied to her when she tried to find a book on killing gods. It sounds like its in a special room of the Library, where they keep all knowledge that is too dangerous for people to know.
The 100- These people are frustratingly crazy. I at least get Jasper. People think he's a clown, not taking the coming end seriously, but instead of wasting time on what he feel's is a fool's errand, he's wanting to live life to its fullest. And I don't think you can fault him for that.
But yeah, so the folks at the lab find out Emori is a liar, which somehow leads to using her next. Which is kinda monstrous that they'd go there. And its kinda funny its a self-fulfilling prophecy. Emori was so convinced they would just grab her and experiment on her. And then when her lie was exposed, some of the folks thought that somehow made it okay to?
Murphy begs Clarke not to do it, and then threatens her, saying if Emori dies, he's going to kill her. In the end, Clarke ends up injecting herself, rather than forcing someone else be tested on. And so Abby destroys the machine, because she's convinced its not going to work.
Well, at least Jaha, Kane, and Monty found a new bunker. Too bad its going to lead to trouble, since Azgeda and Trikru hate each others guts and will refuse to share things with the other. So how does this start? Jaha randomly hears a prayer from Niylah, which is similar to a phrase used by that doomsday cult.
So he figures maybe that was a fake bunker they found, and there's a real one out there. This leads them to Indra, since her daughter is a flamekeeper, and long story short, they find the real bunker under the temple in Polis. And like I said, Trikru was pissed that Arkadia had made an alliance with Azgeda. So Kane and Jaha implored Indra to help them, and now that the bunker is real, Indra is all, no Azgeda is setting foot in it!
