Voltron- Binged this Friday/Saturday. Some pretty interesting developments and possibly info the audience took for granted. Or maybe I just didn't pick up on it. I mean, Allura seemed pretty surprised when she saw Haggar was Altean. Did the audience know she was Altean? Like Haggar has pointed ears like Allura and Coran, but she has a different skin color. So I didn't even think she could be Altean.
But heh, Allura is a racist! Which is funny, because she's voiced by Ashley from Mass Effect. So when Allura was being kinda bitchy about trusting the Blades of Marmora and the whole reveal with Keith, I kinda chuckled at how Ashley she was being.
But yeah, Keith is part Galra! I was kinda confused why people thought Keith's mom might be the original Blue Lion pilot. Though the whole time line confuses me. Like it was buried on Mars 10,000 years ago, right? Because that's how long Allura and Coran had been in stasis, which was right around the time Voltron was split up and the Lions scattered across the universe? So on the one hand, Keith shouldn't be her direct child, because its been millennia. Though that would mean there are more human-galra hybrids on Earth.
Or since Zarkon is so long lived, maybe the Blue Lion pilot would too, and only decided to have a child after that long?
Oh, another thing I didn't even think about, whenever they formed the sword, it was just a sword. I didn't even think about the fact it wasn't a blazing sword until the season finale, when Shiro managed to reclaim the Black Lion's tabard and interfaced it with the Lion to set the sword ablaze.
But what happened to Shiro? He disappeared! Its like argh, do we have to end on a big cliffhanger again? Like that's just one of many unanswered questions. There's the mystery of Keith's Galra lineage. Pidge found footage of her brother getting broken out of prison by rebels, but we don't see anything further on this this season. Heh, also, do they still have that cow?
One good thing though, is that the season ends with Haggar saying to summon Lotor. I was kinda hoping he would appear this season, but nice to know we'll see him next season!
