Sherlock- Is it me, or does the show love trolling? Like they really want you to believe Moriarty is alive. Like he shows up... and its for a scene five years earlier. Heh, so Eurus convinced him to just make a bunch of random recordings just so she could troll people after his death?
In any case we find out what Sherrinford is- a supermax prison on an island meant to hold the "uncontainables" like Eurus. Turns out she was even smarter than her brothers, too bad she was effin nuts. So as people suspected, she killed Redbeard. But, Redbeard was not the family dog. He was Sherlock's best friend Victor, and they used to play pirate together (hence the pirate stories Mycroft mentioned), Sherlock was Yellowbeard and Victor was Redbeard. I guess Eurus was jealous and tossed him in a well and he was never found and died. Not that she didn't give Sherlock a chance to save his friend by singing a mysterious poem that he never figured out.
She also burned down the family home, and so she was institutionalized. And then when Mycroft was old enough and was in government, he faked her death and placed her in Sherrinford.
So turns out she only shot Watson with a tranquilizer. He tells Sherlock about his sister, and so they end up scaring Mycroft into thinking she snuck into his place and was coming to kill him. Watson said that was the only way to get Mycroft to admit the truth about his sister, since Sherlock could not remember her.
And so the three of them break into Sherrinford to figure out how she got out. Which, it shouldn't have been that hard to figure out once they found out she had visitors unauthorized by Mycroft. Its like, if she could get in people's heads, then no one in the prison was trustworthy- they shouldn't have been looking for a single helper that was under the staff's noses. If she could do what she could do, then she could just take over. Which she did.
So she captures Watson and the brothers and puts them through the paces in order to save a plane full of people, who are all asleep except for a little girl. She captures the warden's wife, and has Sherlock choose between Watson and Mycroft who would execute the Warden in order to save her. He chooses Mycroft first, who won't do it because its "murder" and doesn't want blood on his hands? Horseshit, he really thinks he doesn't have blood on his hands already? He's a government spook, like he hasn't set things up that most likely resulted in people's deaths?
So then John gets the gun, but can't do it either, even though the Warden wants him to do it to save his wife. Thus, the Warden takes the gun and kills himself. The boys think that's that, and are totally surprised when Eurus executes the wife. Dude, she said John or Mycroft had to do that!
The second task has Sherlock figuring out which of three brothers sniped someone. The brothers are tied and hanging over the bluff, and the assumption is whoever Sherlock picks is executed. So he picks the right brother and condemns him... and Eurus drops the other two brothers. So Eurus is all something-something what's the difference between condemning a guilty man and and innocent man to death, its still condemning someone to death. And she drops the third brother anyways just to see what it would be like.
The next task has Sherlock calling Molly to make her tell him she loves him, lest she get blown up. So he gets her too, but turns out there is no bomb. Eurus just wanted her brother to mess with Molly's head? Which, I like moments of delicious cruelty as much as the next person, but I didn't really think this was that big a deal.
Finally, Eurus tries to get Sherlock to kill either John or Mycroft. Heh, Mycroft purposely acts like an asshole to try and make it easier for Sherlock to shoot him. But he can't. And so he threatens to shoot himself, which would ruin Eurus' game.
And so she knocks them out and tosses John in a well for Sherlock to save using the old clue. Sherlock figures it out, and then also realizes there is no girl on a plane, it was a fantasy in her head. It was a metaphor for herself, far above everyone and not knowing how to land. And so he save his friend, take his sister back in, and Mycroft has to break the news to their parents their daughter is still alive. But unfortunately the ordeal has broken her mind, and I guess all she can do now is play violin with Sherlock.
And apparently Mary is very fond of after death videos, as she sends another one proud of them for continuing to work together to solve crimes?
