Bunheads- So, decided to finally check this show out. Luckily all the eps are up for free on Freeform's website. Anyways, didn't know much about this show other than it was done by Amy Sherman Palladino. Which is evident from the fact that Michelle is basically Lorelai. I mean, the dialogue and mannerisms are uncanny. And Emily is playing Emily. Haven't seen enough to determine which of the girls is Rory though.
But yeah, random browsing yesterday showed me the show had random dance numbers (which are nowhere near as good as random musical numbers, but the cast is pretty talented in that regard) which piqued my interest. But then I heard about the twist at the end of the pilot which had me sold.
Agents of SHIELD- What a twist! But first lets get to the B-plot. So Mace gets on Daisy's good side by trying to rescue Senator Nadeer's brother, whom he says is an "Inhuman being held against his will". The plan ultimately fails, with Vijay willingly going with his sister and being executed by her. But, 1) SHIELD gets proof Nadeer is working with the Watchdogs and 2) after Vijay's body is unceremoniously dumped into the lake, it undergoes Terragenesis again. So maybe he survived. It looks like he has superspeed, but maybe dying will either give him a new power or more powers.
Anyways, the A-plot was Aida going off the rails after SHIELD comes to erase her hard drive since she read the Darkhold and they can't risk any part of it being in her. She ends up attacking the base and almost steals it, but is decapitated by Mack (who makes a whole lot of evil-AI/robot movie references throughout the ep)
The twist is, Aida isn't the mastermind behind it, it was Radcliffe all along, trying to get hold of the Darkhold. Interesting, because he's with a new Aida. Now, it doesn't seem like its the original Aida in a new body, as he talks about old Aida as a previous model separate from the Aida he's talking to. Though if it is a new Aida, is its programming based on Darkhold-upgraded Aida? I guess it would have to be, Radcliffe wouldn't waste that opportunity.
But yeah, since he or Aida can't get to it now, he's having to rely on fake May to steal it now. Which, how deliciously cruel, as it seems like Coulson is falling for robot May. And I guess thinking about it, all his interactions going along that direction have been with her. So when they finally do get real May back, he'll be pining, and she'll be... not?
