Faking It- G-D it, MTV cancelled this. I mean, with the numbers they were pulling its not a surprise, but it pissed me off because now we'll never get a resolution to the Karmy stuff. I was worried this was going to happen, the show was hemorrhaging viewers who were tired of nothing happening on the Karmy front. And the creator was all, eventually, but just as I suspected, they never would get to "eventually" since they were pulling dismal numbers.
I was hoping they'd have some warning about being cancelled, so they'd have time to get to a decent ending. But apparently next week is the finale?! And its ending on a cliffhanger?! bbv('This is total BS!')
The Originals- At least Vincent is spreading the hatred around. As I said last week, I was confused when Vincent was giving Marcel the serum he extracted from Aurora, since he had been all anti-Ancestor as of late. But turns out he had a plan for them too, because he's tired of them exerting their control on the city, not caring what happens to the individual witches if something suits the collective.
So Kinney shows up at Cami's funeral, his connection strong enough to draw her there and drive him to figure out what the hell happened. So Vincent reveals to him the supernatural side of NOLA and enlists his help. Apparently Eva had created a very dark object that absorbed all sorts of bad juju. And so Vincent wanted to use it as a magic bomb to cut the Ancestors off from the physical plane.
Kol joins, as he'd been visited by the last remnants of Davina and wanted to join Vincent on his trip to the other side. Kinney would use the police to keep the witches out of the cemetery so they could complete their task. So Kol and Vincent go to the other side, where they do find Davina, who says she'll be the one to set the magic bomb so they can go back to the real world. And she succeeds, and the Ancestors can no longer affect things.
Anyways, Marcel meanwhile shows Josh he has the serum, and considers taking it. Freya tries to figure out if the prophecy is still coming to pass and she sees it is, and shares it with Elijah, who sees Marcel. So he goes to confront Marcel and learns from Josh that he has the serum is considering taking it.
However, Klaus has already gone to Marcel, trying to iron out things, they debate peacefully, until Elijah shows up angrily, telling Klaus Marcel has the serum. Klaus had just been telling Marcel he was like a son to him, and that he is family, trying to fix their relationship. But Elijah showing up has riled things up. Eventually things come to a head, and Klaus is uncharacteristically showing restraint. But its Elijah who can't risk the threat to his family, and ends up ripping Marcel's heart out.
Klaus is angry, and Elijah is distraught. He tells Hayley what he did, seeking her forgiveness as well, which she readily gives, he had no choice. Then she tells Klaus to forgive his brother, its the least he could do for all the grief he had put Elijah through all these years.
Klaus breaks the news to Josh and Vincent when they come back from their secret mission. At first Josh is upset with himself, because had he not dissuaded Marcel from taking the serum before, he'd still be alive. But Vincent reveals it was all a ruse. Marcel drank the serum right when Vincent gave it to him. Marcel had to fool Josh, so the Mikaelsons would also think Marcel hadn't taken it yet. Because if they knew, they'd handle him the same way they did Aurora.
But no, this way, he got Elijah to kill him in order to complete the transition. And so Marcel comes back as the super-Original, and they don't even know!
