TV commentary:

iZombie- Woah, crazy season finale. Also, did they not know if they were gonna be renewed or not when they filmed this? Because I think that would've been a passable series finale if had to be- I mean, there definitely would be loose ends, but nothing big-big.

Also, I think I've said this before, but its kinda uncanny how Bozzio totally seems like what Veronica Mars would be like if they had gone with her becoming an FBI agent.

So the first part is dealing with Major's arrest. Ravi also gets arrested because he had that one knockout drug in his sock drawer when the Feebs searched Ravi and Major's home. Thinks get incredibly inconvenient for the gang, its like one thing after the other. Vaughn hires a lawyer played by Ken Marino to try and get Major out. But only so his thug to kill Major and Liv after.

Dale gets a witness who claims she saw Major putting a body in a trunk, but Bozzio figures out the witness is lying because she couldn't have seen what she did from her window due to some branches that would've been in the way at the time of the crime. So she is troubled at what to do, because if Major's lawyer finds out, he can easily use that to get the case thrown out since its already weak since there are no bodies to be found, so they don't have anything but circumstantial evidence. Meanwhile, the guy who sold Major the guns who used in the Meat Cute attacks turns state evidence on Major, so just when Major posts bail, Clive arrests him for the Meat Cute massacre.

So, since Major hasn't been able to feed (Peyton tries to get his lawyer to slip him a specially made brain choco bar, but the guy ends up eating it and giving Major the same brand, not thinking it a problem). So Liv reveals the zombie thing to Clive to prevent a zombie apocalypse starting in prison. Clive takes it well, and he ends up leaking the info about the lying witness, tanking Dale's case, and also fudges the evidence in the Meat Cute murders and destroys that case too. Dale doesn't understand why he would do that, and mess up his career since there's no way he's getting into the FBI now, and she also breaks up with him. So Major is saved, but at the cost of Clive's career and love life.

Anyways, Vaughn sends his guy after Liv, but luckily Ravi saves her, accidentally killing the assassin. He feels really bad about it, since he did murder someone (in self defense!) and wants to turn himself in, but Liv realize she could eat the guy's brain to get inside info. And good thing she does- so before Major got off, they got him to tell them where he left the bodies, because if they could have Drake up and about, then he wasn't murdered, and "prove" Major's innocence. But the bodies were gone when they got there. So Liv thought Max Rager came in and killed all the zombies to continue the cover up. But she gets a flash of the zombies imprisoned in Max Rager's basement.

Major gets an e-mail from a former co-worker about a party going on at Max Rager to celebrate Vaughn selling everything to a PMC who want to make super soldiers. So, Liv and Major plan to use the party as cover to sneak in and free the zombies.

Meanwhile, the case against Mr Boss goes up in smoke since Blaine lost his memory. So since he got off, he feels he owns the city, and goes after the people selling the new rebranded Utopium, i.e. Don E and Chief. They quickly put a bullet in Chief's head, which is obviously unintentionally lucky for them, since he was a super strong zombie. Don E is pretty clever though, and is all, "put a bullet in my head and kill me quickly because I don't want to deal with the pain!" so they shoot him in the chest instead to spite him. So he survives. Problem is, the assassins saw Blaine is alive. They're confused obviously, but Mr Boss tells them to kill him again.

And just when it seems like Ravi and Peyton may be getting back together, Blaine shows up looking for protection. And then Peyton gets captured and the thugs tell Ravi to tell Blaine to show up and no funny business, or Peyton dies. They go to rescue her, but Blaine, a little more self-assured now that Peyton is in danger, goes in by himself using Major's night vision goggles and cutting the power to the meeting place. He singled handedly saves Peyton, so when Ravi catches up, he's quite disappointed.

Anyways, to the meat of the second ep. Liv and Major manage to sneak in, and Clive shows up later (not joining in at first due to the illegality of it all, but getting all worried when Liv doesn't call him around the time she said she was getting out), entering with Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20. Too bad some interns found the old tainted Utopium in the lab, and wanting to be all bad, take it, then drink some of the new Max Rager, turning themselves into zombies by accident and causing an outbreak. Conveniently, the party is prison themed most likely 1) so everyone is locked in, thus limiting the craziness to Max Rager HQ and 2) to make it look like Major accidentally goes feral in prison for the promo's last week.

I say too bad, but it turns out good for the gang, since Vaughn spots them and has his guards grab them, only for the guards to be attacked by the new zombies. Of course, the zombies don't go after Liv and Major, but Clive being human, is still a target. So they're chased as a group and cornered. Liv wants to scratch Clive to stop the zombies from trying to eat him, and just when you think he's going to be turned, they're saved by Vivian, the owner of the PMC.

While she goes to call in the cavalry, they sneak off into the basement and free the zombies. Unfortunately, Drake has turned into a Romero- Vaughn started experimenting on the zombies to see if he could find a cure for his daughter, and to temporarily protect the others, Drake volunteered to be the next test subject and is permanently reduced to a feral beast. Vaughn of course lets him and the other Romeros out to attack the gang, and Liv is forced to kill Drake to save Clive. Then they free the rest of the Kaos Killer victims who are still cogent.

Vaughn tries the same trick on Major (who had been separated from the group) and Rita (who the gang freed to get her help to unlock the cells), not realizing Major turned again and thus was not going to be attacked the zombies. Major ends up shooting through the glass window and hitting Vaughn right in the hand. So heh, Vaughn can't use the palm scanner to escape in the elevator like last time. So, Major catches up to him, and climbs onto the elevator roof via the hatch, refusing to pull Vaughn up. Vaughn gets eaten by his daughter and some Romeros.

When Liv and Clive catch up, an out of control Rita tries to attack, but Major pops out from the elevator roof and kills her. So looks like father and daughter are dead.

And, the PMC is covering everything up, and Vivian appears to be offering Liv a job. Since Seattle is on the verge of a zombie apocalypse, she wants to hire someone like her who is aware of and can handle the threat. Also, looks like Vivian and her men are zombies too, since they're eating Rob Thomas's corpse as Vivian makes her offer.

Also, Major goes to look for that one zombie chick, but the rest of the people say she was taken away at some point. But it didn't seem like she was one of the Romeros. So where did she go? Oh, and some of the prisoners recognize Major as the guy who captured them, and they're not too pleased with him. They don't seem to try and kill him at least.

But yeah, next season should be interesting. And I'm pleasantly surprised no one important died. I mean, Drake and Rita were kinda interesting (Vaughn is a dick, so he had to die at some point), but better them than the core gang. Actually, I was expecting Dale to bite it, so I'm happy she lives.
