Better Call Saul- That's got to sting a little. Jimmy gets himself fired to keep his signing bonus (cool of his assistant to warn him about quitting!) and wants Kim to join him, and they can be partners at their own firm. Unfortunatly, Kim still can't get past the way he lawyers, so she opts for them to share an office, but be their own lawyers.
We also find out about young Jimmy- turns out his dad is Jiminy Cricket/Kaiden, and was a bit of sucker. So it seems like Jimmy is not totally to blame for his father's business going under like Chuck said. I mean, it does seem like that one conman did put Jimmy on a bad path with the whole wolves and sheep speech. Now, did Jimmy eventually prey on his dad, or did his father's naivete cause his business to go under, and Jimmy took the blame for some reason?
And interesting, Mike, with Jimmy's help, tells the police he doesn't know who's gun that was. Which gets his family out of harm's way, and he uses the money to get his daughter in law a better place. But, turns out he can't stomach a guy like Tuco being able to walk free. Seems like he's planning to do something, but at the same time, we know he's not successful, since Tuco is still doing business on Breaking Bad.
The Magicians- Heh, interesting spells this week. We get a fake out in the beginning where it seems everyone dies, but apparently the gang was doing some spell that let them run scenarios to see which action they should take and see what the consequences would be. So, signs point to going to Fillory.
But, because of all the dangerous folks in the Hinterlands, not to mention the Beast, they decide to learn battle magic. So, they seek out Kady, who tells them they have to be feelings-less to consistently perform it. They come up with magic bottles to temporarily hold their feelings, making them all cold and allowing them to do combat magic on cue- they've fought with magic before, but it was born out of rage or fear.
Alice and Penny eventually decide to try and work on getting magic w/o doing this, since putting their feelings back causes them to be emotionally unstable for a time. And during one of these times, Q, Summer, and Elliot end up having a threesome. Alice is upset, but c'mon, that shouldn't count as cheating, she knows about the rush of emotion and how weird they all get!
