X-Files- Well, that was confusing. Maybe I would understand it a little better if my eyes didn't glaze over after Mulder and Joel Mchale babbled on forever about whatever the hell was supposedly going on. I think they spent a little too much time talking.
So, as far as I can tell, Joel Mchale finds Mulder to tell him what's really going on. And its that the whole alien invaders and war between aliens was bullshit, just a distraction set up by human people just using alien technology to take over the world. Which like I said is confusing because its like, "These guys who secretly control everything with their superior technology made up the alien war conspiracy in order to hide their plan to secretly take over the United States!" Don't they already control it?!
And they introduce the chick from the Americans as a multiple abductee who claims she wasn't kidnapped by aliens, but by humans with alien tech. And Joel Mchale shows Mulder a super fancy alien replica vehicle, and says if the government ever found out about this, they'd storm in and destroy the lab and kill everyone in it. They say something about aliens attracted by the nuclear bomb detonations on Earth, and coming to save us from ourselves, but then they crashed and humans stole their technology. But I was confused as to whether the aliens being attracted was unintentional, or if they were saying the nuclear detonations were a ruse to call aliens down in order to steal their technology.
In any case, after hearing all this, Mulder goes to some source he has who wouldn't tell anything, but would confirm if Mulder figured it out for himself, which he supposedly did. So he, Joel Mchale (I guess his name is Tad?), and Americans lady (Sveta) talk with Scully and after they're done, Scully says, "I did a test on Sveta's blood, and I see no alien DNA, so she's a fucking liar! Don't endorse Tad, Mulder because it will incite a panic, which is treasonous!"
So I guess, Mulder backs off, and Tad's website and show are somehow taken down (did he still go forward with everything?) and Sveta goes on the news apologizing for lying and says Tad paid her to say that stuff. Which is confusing, because it seemed Scully said Sveta has no alien DNA before they were going to go public. Did Tad go ahead anyways? Why would he if Sveta was a fake? And if he did, are they saying as soon as he did, Sveta came out and said it was all lies?
But I guess it wasn't? Because Scully ran the tests again and Sveta does have alien DNA? And some military types blow up the ARV and kill the scientists working on it? Somehow this causes the X-files to be re-opened and CSM to ominously be all, "The X-Files have been reopened, we must do something about this!"
Other stuff, I guess Mulder and Scully got together, but then broke up because he's apparently really incredibly depressed?
