TV commentary:
Pretty Little Liars- Argh, are you serious?! So because of all this A-shit, the girls are banned from prom, lest they endanger the other students. So, the mothers volunteer the Hastings barn for the girls to hang out since they can't go to the real prom. Emily asks Sara to their little fake prom, but Sara says her own school is having their prom that same night and her actual friends are wanting her to go to that. Caleb also claims he has to see his dad in NY. Lorenzo basically tells Ali and the liars to eff off.
Toby has nothing better to do, what with his suspension and all. And ha, Ezra is all, I can totally be there, claiming he didn't want to go to real prom when there'd be a bunch of former students staring at him. But apparently he doesn't find it awkward to hang out with a bunch of teenage girls with their moms hanging out less than a 100 feet away.
Speaking of, the mothers have some misadventures tonight! Veronica brings over some wine and the moms get drunk. Apparently Jason being Peter and Jessica's wasn't common knowledge, and she lets that drop to the rest of the moms. They complain about this A bullshit and Pam thinks maybe someone else, like Kenneth, killed Jessica. So Veronica is all, you know what, lets ask him! So she drunkedly marches over to the Dilaurentises screaming at the top of her lungs. And this is an example of how shitty Rosewood PD is. Not only do they not notice the girls sneak off (more on that later) they apparently just sit their chilling while seeing Veronica just basically break into the Dilaurentis household, shouting and then going through stuff.
Interestingly enough, they don't see Kenneth, but there's like a glass of booze on a table, along with an envelope Pam recognizes as evidence from the police station. In it, they see the pic of Jessica with her sons. Then Rhys shows up saying he's looking for Kenneth, but since he's not there, he takes off. Ella thinks they just met Charles. Then they hear some noises from the basement, so Veronica just marches down there, intending to give Kenneth a piece of her mind. The other moms reluctantly follow, and get locked in. Heh, they try and send Ashley through a hatch they find to see if there's a way out there, but nope, they end the ep stuck in the Dilaurentis basement.
Anyways, in the main plot, Ali lets the moms spot her about to enter the barn so they don't worry, but then she runs away to go to the real prom. The girls spot her in the background through social media- they have nothing better to do than troll whatever that universe's version of facebook/twitter/instagram/etc and gab about the real prom. Heh, I guess the show couldn't afford any other recurring guests besides the moms, so we only hear the liars talk about people like Noel and Bridget Wu, the twins, and Lucas and Jenna, who are at prom together.
But yeah, as mentioned earlier, the girls (and Toby and Ezra) manage to sneak off and crash the prom. And other than one chaperone being all, "Y'all should show yourself out!" no one does shit, like the girls are just wandering around freely. And they were all, "maybe being banned from prom is a good thing, everyone would just stare at us!" And nobody actually does, which is bullshit, if they were all there people would be talking!
Anyways, Sara and Caleb also show up, so the main 4 all have dates. Sara claims she decided to ditch her own prom, saw Em wasn't at the barn, and figured she went to the school. Caleb, meanwhile is called a lying liar by Hanna because she checked with his dad who said Caleb didn't see him. Caleb reveals he got a job as a white hat hacker, or rather an internet security specialist, and will make serious bank, so he and Hanna can move to NYC and he can pay for her college. She's not the only one who might have out of state future plans. Aria apparently won that photo contest, and that earns her a internship in LA for the summer. She thinks Ezra is going to follow here there, because she sees he bought a plane ticket to LA, but he says its just a layover, and he's going to Thailand for Habitat for Humanity with the Aussie chick Em worked with in Haiti.
Also there, Clark (who doesn't even go there!) who's ostensibly there as prom photographer. Heh, Spencer and Toby make up and make out, which allows Ali to slip out from their watchful eye. She wants to see Charles, despite the Liars telling her to let it go. They go looking for her when she disappears, and spot Clark also looking for her, and he's armed. Ha, they totally pulled a Theo from Faking It, as he's an undercover cop. Which I'll admit, I didn't see coming. Lorenzo also shows up, too late, feeling all bad since Ali disappeared.
Ali does meet black hoodie, who peels off his mask, and she's all shocked as to his identity, not that we find out. Guess we'll find out next week, it better not be disappointing!
