Selfie- Dang it, this show is probably going to be canceled, which sucks because Karen Gillan is so freaking hot, and it seems like they're starting to really delve into the shippy stuff with Eliza and Henry.
Faking It- Okay, that's so obvious. Theo being on the phone all secretive telling the person on the other end that he needs more time, that theory that he's an undercover cop is starting to seem very likely. Anyways, the main plot of this ep is that Shane wants to spend some time with Duke as a couple, but as he's said before, he doesn't want to be out yet. So, he manipulates Karma into crashing Reamy's date in order to create a "Group Hang" so he can hang out with Duke in public. Coincidentally, Theo and Lauren end up at their table since its the last seats in the restaurant.
So anyways, because Duke is still being totally aloof at the hang, even in front of Shane's friends, who he knows would be accepting, Shane starts flirting with the waiter. This cause Duke to start flirting with Lauren. She flirts back, and eventually Theo gets jealous and wants to duke it out with Duke. Lauren is ecstatic and chooses Theo. Then when Theo is all, "What about Duke?" she's all, obviously he's gay and secretly on a date with Shane.
Which angers Duke since that's now people beyond him and Shane who know he's gay. Shane talks to him later, apologizing for the whole situation, but tries to take the gay yoda route again, all, Duke's uncomfortable with being gay, he'll help him work through it. But Duke says he's accepted his homosexuality. However, his dream is also to be a MMA fighter. Which regardless of how the world is more accepting of gays nowadays, its still taboo in professional sports (particularly one which would involve guys wrestling around). He's so close to achieving it, and he can get outed and tanking his career before it even gets started. And to be fair, he's known Shane, what, like a couple of weeks. It would be asking a lot of him to risk his life long dream for someone who might just be a hookup.
However, he does say Shane is worth the risk, he can't be out yet, but he also wants to see where this thing with Shane is going. So he hopes Shane will be patient with him and stick around. Shane does.
But on to the meat and potatoes of the ep. So, Amy has been hanging out with Reagan a lot, and has met her friends. Amy has kept her own friends a secret though, particularly Karma because that's a big mess that's hard to explain. So, when Karma shows up at the group hang, she gets confused and jealous when she finds out Amy has met all of Reagan's friends and told her nothing about Karma.
Karma takes Amy aside, all, "What the shit?!" and gets even more hurt when she explains about how complicated it would be and drops the line she WAS in love with Karma. Which you can tell is a knife to the heart. So, she gets all territorial at dinner. Exacerbating the whole situation is Reagan recognizing Liam from the party, but not knowing exactly who he was at first. So, Liam and Amy cover up for several reasons. First, only they and Shane know he's the Squirkel heir at the table. And it may just be the two of them there who know his sister is his really his mother, which he announced at the party, so she might know that too. But even beyond those, if Karma finds out about the party, she'll wonder why Amy is there and find out about them sleeping together.
So, them shutting down Reagan whenever she tries to bring up Liam seems ultra shady and look like Amy is trying to hide something from her. That coupled with Karma's territorial behavior, and carrying around an epi-pen for Amy, which she uses when Amy accidentally eats kale cooked in peanut oil (hey, cool continuity!) makes Reagan ultra suspicious, which comes to a head when Lauren outs the whole fake lesbian story which Amy quickly corrects to Karma being the fake lesbian, but Reagan figuring out the implications, that she's in love with Karma.
So Reagan's out, and Amy tries to save it. Liam tells Karma to give them space, but she can't help herself, and Amy tells her to lay off. So she does, and is totally hurt that she's being left out. Anyways, Amy explains the whole situation, about how she's over it and really wants to be with Reagan now, and she can trust nothing's going on with Karma anymore. That and Karma is her best friend, so she'll have to accept her hovering around. Its enough to convince Reagan to take her back.
In the end, Liam lambasts Karma for being obviously jealous. That, and she says she chose him, but Amy still seems to be first place in her heart. And they're still pretending to her parents that she's still a lesbian, so he doesn't feel like her boyfriend at all. But to be fair, I don't think that's only about Amy. As she's said before, she doesn't feel like her parents love her, and becoming a lesbian was the first time her parents were all happy about her. So I don't think she wants to lose that. In any case, he's kinda mad about the whole thing, so poor Karma has both Amy and Liam telling her to go away.
Which is kinda her worst nightmare, because those are like her only two people in the world, and now she's losing both.
Degrassi- Huh, I thought Drew knew Becky knew. Because of the whole preggers thing, he'd been avoiding Becky's calls all weekend, even though she broke her freaking ankle, so that's kinda a shitty thing to do. Particularly since he didn't know she knew already. So as far as he knew, she thought he was being aloof for nothing, when she needed him.
But yeah, after Claire tells him she doesn't need him in her or the baby's life, and telling him he's off the hook, he tries to apologize to Becky, which is when he finds out she already knows. He tries to explain he's off the hook, and Claire doesn't want him, but she's not having that. So they break up.
He gets no sympathy from Dallas when he tells his friend about the pregnancy and how Claire says he doesn't need to be involved. Even though they haven't addressed it in a while, Dallas is also a teen dad. So Drew being all he doesn't need to be a part of his kid's life, because Claire said he's devoid of responsibility kinda pisses Dallas off. Just because Claire doesn't need him, doesn't make him any less of a dad, so he tells Drew he needs to figure things out with Claire to be sure what role they want him to play. I mean, it is her choice what she wants to do. But I think he also has to be careful she's not being all, "Eh, Drew doesn't care anyways" and just accept the easy way out. I think its a complicated issue. So, they talk and resolve to figure things out.
Becky and Drew aren't the only ones who break up. It seems Zoemund is done before it even starts. So, Zig is getting racy photos from a bunch of niner girls who like him. Zoe sees one and is understandably pissed. So, he goes to Grace for advice. Besides telling him of course she's be mad other girls are sending racy photos to him, when he's all he wouldn't mind getting a racy photo from Zoe, Grace is all, "Really, you want the girl who was sexually assaulted and had the video of it circulate around school to send you naked selfies?" So he resolves to delete the app, but before he does, Zoe sends him a naughty selfie.
So he goes up to her and tells her he liked it, but then is all, she shouldn't feel the need to do that for him, particularly considering what she's been through. Which she takes as slut shaming, all, she's not allowed to do something sexy anymore because she was raped, that she should just lock herself away and not have anything to do with sex? Which again is a complicated issue, he was worried and didn't want to accidentally and unknowingly pressure her into sexual things when she's not ready, but at the same time, he has to watch how he phrases things so it doesn't look like he's slut shaming her, which is one of the things that really hurt her during her whole rape trial, everyone acting like it was okay what happened to her because she acted "slutty".
He tries to win her back by making a grand gesture in front of everyone in his underwear, but nope, she's not having him.
Finally, reporter lady posts the quote Miles gave about his dad thinking "homosexuality is ridiculous" (which Tristan is pissed at, because it seems even more like he's just using him to make daddy mad), but instead of flipping out, he takes his son golfing. Miles is happy that his father isn't mad and is actually treating him like a son. But then it all goes to shit when they have lunch, and lo and behold reporters are there to see how his dad loves and accepts his gay son.
So, Miles is pissed that he did it just for the press. And he's slowly losing it, his boyfriend is mad at him because Tristan thinks he's just using him, which it does seem like he's not (good, that would be low if he was), and then when his father seems to show him love instead of anger at the attempt at attention, turns out it was all a ruse for political points.
Maya notices Miles' growing frustration, and tells him while he doesn't need to talk to her (well, definitely not talk to her, given their messy history), he needs to talk to someone. He tries to talk to the twins, but his younger siblings think he's in the wrong, he's the one always starting shit, and why can't he act nice and normal like them. I guess they don't know about the affair, unlike him.
Eventually, his father again tries to buy off his good will by getting him either a black or silver mustang. So in the end, Miles just goes fuck it, accepts his lot, chooses the black Mustang, and gets Tristan back, kissing him in front of everybody and saying they're going for a ride later. Still, Maya sees he's repressing his issues, but Miles insists he's fine- he has a new car and his boyfriend back, everything's good now.
Sons of Anarchy- Dang. Just when it seems like they were going to get Bobby back, August kills Bobby in front of Jax. I knew something was fishy when his head of security said they had to break Bobby's jaw. That just screamed, they didn't want him warning Jax about something. And yep, August was able to smuggle a gun to the meet on Bobby himself.
However, Jax is not without his revenge though. They had cut up the preacher, putting his head and tattooed arm on a different corpse. So, they still tell Jarry about the corpse and give her the confession from the preacher's wife, but she will have to testify. Which I'm sure will cause some issue later. But yeah, Marks is arrested, so I guess we'll see the fallout from that next week. (that and the other charters meeting up over him killing Jury)
Still, this came at too high a cost. And Gemma is even more unhinged now. She knew her lies where effin shit up, a lot of people died already, but now this is the first time someone actually close to her as died for her sins. So she cries over his body, begging for his forgiveness, which Abel again hears. Wonder how this will all play out?
Things are definitely about to break though- because the guy Gemma fingered, Chris Dunn, turns out Jarry found proof that he was in a drunk tank the time Gemma claims he was at Tara's. So Unser advises her to get Juice out of ad-seg any way she can, since its obvious he's in prison to kill Lin until they can figure things out, but not to let on to the club they know Dunn is innocent. And so he's thrown in solitary, the guards telling him they have no choice since it came from above. Which is bad for him, because Marilyn Marison is supposed to kill Lin if Juice can't do it, and to take care of Juice for his failure.
Anyways, Jarry meets with Chibs when he goes to give her the evidence against Marks. She's confused why he wants her to give evidence on a crime way out of her jurisdiction, and is already feeling bad because Gemma basically called her a bribe-taking, biker effing corrupt cop. And it only pisses her off more when she asks about the Chinese and Chibs is still being tight lipped. She wants this to be something more, to prove that Chibs likes her and isn't secretly bragging to his friends that he's just effin her for kicks. And so she tells him to take her right there in the middle of the parking garage, with Rane watching. So he does, and its kinda hilarious that they're like doing it on the hood, and Rane is just sitting there, incredulous.
