Walking Dead- I freaking knew it! They ended last ish on a cliffhanger where Negan was telling the newbies that he was some poor innocent guy trapped by Tyrant Rick. I knew it would be resolved within the first couple of pages with them not believing him or someone showing up and being all, "Yeah, he's a crazy psycho liar!" It was like the time they first got to Alexandria, and the ish ends with priest guy (or was it Morgan?) being all, "You can't trust Rick and his people, they're effin crazy!" and then the next issue the Senator or whatever level of politician that guy was all, "Now now, I'm sure that's an exaggeration, lets talk this out carefully!"
I mean, the comic is still loads better than the TV show, but they do pull BS like this pretty often, where the seemingly big cliffhanger is solved really easily in the next issue. I mean, all comics obviously leave you hanging, otherwise you wouldn't be crazy for the next issue. But I'm just amused that rather than it being a big drawn out thing that takes half the comic to resolve, in TWD its often ended within the first two pages with someone being all, "Oh, lets talk this out clearly!" Problem solved!
TV commentary:
Royal Pains- What the, that took a dark turn! Divya's baby daddy's mother basically holding her kid hostage and not letting her leave Argentina. (Well, she can leave, just not without her baby!) And then the stuff with Paige and the mobster? Like, are they setting her up to possibly have an affair?
I mean, Evan is not thinking that at all, he's more worried that given Ray is a mobster, its dangerous for them to be around him. And indeed Paige was there when he got shot at. But what's with the staying late at his house, and then having a pillow fight with him? That's pretty odd behavior.
