Fargo- Holy frick, this episode man! Is it purposely trying to freak the hell out of you?! So they quickly explain what Lorne's deal is- apparently its a long con. He was trying to get to Jimmy James because apparently he knows someone in witness protection that Lorne is trying to kill. So Lester basically blunders into that.
And since Lester's more confident, he's kinda insulted that Malvo is blowing him off. So he foolishly confronts Malvo in the elevator. Lorne gives the whole "is this what you want? Yes or no?" speech again. And you knew if Lester said yes, something bad was going to happen. And sure enough Lester says yes. So he executes Jimmy James (ha, that's hysterical that they had him for such a bit part) and his wife and the lady he'd been seeing as cover. I guess since he thinks Lester and him have some strange sort of friendship going on, he asks for Lester's help in getting rid of the bodies. Only instead, Lester beans him with his trophy and runs. So Malvo basically tells Lester he's going to kill him.
And so starts the frickin episode that just kept freaking me out over and over. So Lester tells his wife they have to leave, so there's a long stressful walk to the elevator. Then when they get home, there's a long stressful moment where you think Malvo is there to ambush them.
So, Vegas thinks Lester is a witness, and they end up sending Molly to talk to Lester, but while Lester acts totally shifty, Molly isn't too suspicious of him. But, we see Malvo enter town (Gus sees him, well he doesn't realize its him until later). So first, we're worried he may attack Lester while Molly's there.
But then we hear Key and Peele are in town, having finally got wind of Molly's inquiries and wanting to talk. Since she was out talking to Lester, the office sends them to her dad's diner. Where Lorne has gone to eat some pie since he can't find Lester since he moved and wasn't at his new office. So again more stress, because Lorne notices the pic of Gus and Molly, and her dad refuses to give him Lester's address, because he can tell Malvo is off. And Molly's headed over there, and so are Key and Peele, so you're like totally freaking out that Malvo is going to get pissed and kill her dad. Or either Molly or Key and Peele will come in, recognize Malvo, and it will devolve into some shoot out.
Thankfully, he leaves without Molly seeing him, and Key and Peele once again don't notice him. In any case, Key and Peele finally see Molly's board and are excited because it make sense, and they think this will help them get out from their exile. And argh, Gus comes home, is unaware of Molly making headway with the feds, and he realizes it was Malvo he saw. And like, he's prolly going to go off after Malvo on his own, isn't he?
But in the end, Lester shows what a fucking little shit he is. After his poor, sweet innocent new wife tells him how she always had a crush on him and its a dream come true marrying him. And that friggin bastard basically sets her up and uses her as bait since he's 95% sure Malvo is in his office waiting to ambush him. And sure enough, finally something bad does happen, and Malvo kills her.
Its like, what the fuck, it was obvious it was a trap, why not just leave and not go in there, why send his wife inside?!
