TV commentary:

White Collar- So the promo for the ep after the holidays says they have a "twist you won't see coming". Rebecca is going to totally end up being a secret bad guy, isn't she? Although that may be too obvious a twist. I mean, plot wise, I can't think of any reason why she'd be playing Neal and she hadn't done anything suspicious, but I wanna say there's always been something off about her ever since she was introduced. So, Peter was able to trick Neal into confessing about the coins, and Peter is kinda mad all, "I thought we were friends, and this is how you repay me!" and Neal reveals he had to do it to free Peter (leaving out Hagen's involvement in all this)

Peter is of course devastated, and is in a bit of a moral quandry. Because he's innocent and he has to believe that working within the system would have proved that. But, since Neal's dad ran, they were stuck. Neal tries to convince Peter the ends justify the means, and Peter does end up strong arming that prosecutor into secretly returning the rest of the coins and resigning. But, he's not happy he had to compromise his morals like that, so things between him and Neal are tense.

Still, there is something definitely off with all this stuff. As the prosecutor said, he was expecting a normal bribe, but instead he's given these rare coins and told to go to a particular fence? Its like why would Hagen do all this in a way that could cause the prosecutor to get caught by the white collar division himself, and get Neal in trouble, when he's trying to get Neal to do something for him?
