Vampire Diaries- Once again, aav('WHAAATT?!!') When Nadia started talking about hunting down Katherine for centuries, I started to have my suspicions that she was going to be Katherine's daughter. The accent, the similar look (which I guessed was intentional casting). But it was still a huge surprise. And aw, she actually went looking for Nadia when she was a kid, but she was gone. Its weird to see Katherine be all motherly- I'll be honest, when she was all smiles with Nadia and was handing her that cup, I was thinking that the drink was poison. But it seems her feelings are for real- like at the end, when Damon tricked her and fed her to Silas, she really didn't want to die. But the look on her face seemed more than her own, well known self-preservation instincts. She just found her daughter, and this second chance would be ripped from her.
But lucky for her, something weird is going on- if the promos for next week are to be believed, Silas did get the cure. So if Katherine was drained completely, how is she alive? Which heh, I thought they were going to end on a cliffhanger with her being dead, so I was about to dread looking at the boards and seeing all the people rioting over Katherine dying and being all, "How dare they kill our Kiki! Why couldn't they kill Elena instead!?" But I guess since they knew people would freak the eff out, they made it clear she was still alive. (Personally, I was thinking about Nadia, sitting in that hotel room, having finally found her mom, ready to get to know her, not knowing Damon was feeding her to Silas and how awful that would be for her)
And it looks like Tyler only came back to say goodbye- just because Klaus gave Caroline and him permission to be together, nothing is forgiven. As he said, that's not the only beef they had. Klaus drowned his mom, among other things. He wants vengeance more than he wants Caroline! Is he going to show up on the Originals at some point? Which, shouldn't he hate Hayley too? She betrayed him to Klaus, I wonder how he'll react when he seems them shacking up?
Heh, I am surprised he didn't call Caroline out on her obvious like of Klaus. But huh, so are they dunzo for good? Caroline gave him that ultimatum, and he chose revenge.
Oh, and big fake out with the promos for this ep, where they show Damon and Silas talking, and Silas being all, "I'll help you if you kill your brother!" Well, he does want Damon to do kill Stefan, but not permanently- apparently when Stefan is "dead", Q's hex on him stops working, and he has his powers back. So, since Q is going to the same ball everyone else is at because they randomly have one of her old talismans, Silas has Damon put his shadow self out of commission so he can work his mojo on Tessa.
Which, I'm surprised his tricks work on her, isn't she really powerful? But wow, I actually felt really bad for Q this ep. Like despite all Silas has done to her, she's still a sucker for that face. It was kinda sad to see her fall for his tricks all over again.
I'm amused Damon effs up and allows Stefan to escape (Seriously, you think your bro is faking, and you get within neck snapping distance of him?! What were you thinking, Damon?!) right as Silas is reading Q's mind for location of the anchor creating the other side. Given Q says the Travellers hid it from her, is it that knife the guy in Matt told him to hide?
But yeah, with Silas incapacitated by Stefan being up and about, Q uses the opportunity to eff him up. Which upsets Damon to no end, since it throws a wrench in his plan to resurrect Bonnie for Elena. Hence what I mentioned in the beginning of this post, calling Kat to feed her to Silas to at least take care of that part. Interesting that Elena just stood there and let it happen despite Kat's begging. I mean, there's no love lost between them, but still!
Other stuff- so Prof guy knows all about Elena's situation. Well, he had to have, given he knew exactly what happened to Jesse. But interestingly enough, he warns her to leave, else the college's version of the council starts sniffing around her and Caroline. Also, Elena meets a friend of Megan, Aaron, who she tries to get info from, but when he's a sad sack about it, all "I'm cursed, everyone around me dies!" she feels guilty/sees a kindred spirit and lets him go. But! It turns out he's a trust fund kid, and who's his guardian? Professor guy!
Misfits- hmm, are they going that direction? It was interesting to see that underneath the filthy and foul exterior, he's not as big a dick as he makes himself out to be. And Jess sees this part of him, are they gonna get together?
As for the other folks- Abbey finds a scarf in the ladies room that she finds intoxicating, and eventually finds the owner, and is all over her. We don't see what happens with that. Alex and Finn fight off some guys trying to mug (unbeknown to them, another super) and are all whatever like its nothing, but it seems to mean something to the guy. Who happens to be in Rudy 2's supe group, where Rudy 2's been talking about how its BS that they have to hide their powers. I guess we'll see where this goes.
White Collar- Woah, more unexpected-ness! I was amused how they just kept piling the guilt on Neal in the CotW- his shenanigans getting Kahlan in trouble, Peter blaming himself, etc. But holy cow, I did not expect to kill off the new handler guy! And they were giving him an interesting backstory, too!
Also, is Kahlan a one shot deal, or is she showing up again? Like things seem unfinished with her? I would think Neal should be feeling guilty for getting her fired, plus she's adorkably cute and obviously into him, I know he's a ladies man, but she seems like a catch, why not at least give her a chance? More importantly though, they mentioned her interest in that book that Badger/Crowley/Romo Lampkin had Neal steal a page from.
