Jul. 25th, 2012 08:53 amHmm, so when my alarm went off this morning, it was a news break, and one of the stories was about a grandmother turning herself in for giving her 10 month old grandson cocaine. And then they said she was 34. Being a grandma at 34. cliffv('What's up with that?!')
TV commentary:
White Collar- Interesting, we get some more tidbits about Neal's back story this week. So, his father was a corrupt cop, and that one lady was his partner. He ended up shooting another cop, and was arrested by the partner. And Neal was raised in witness protection by her since he was 3. He spent most of his youth thinking his father died a hero, but then he was told the truth at 18, ran away, and became the thief he is now.
Interestingly enough, maybe his dad may not be as corrupt as he thought? Neal's dad called partner lady for backup on a meeting, but by the time she got there, it looks as though he shot another cop. His dad claimed his innocence for the longest time, until one day he finally confessed? So maybe the confession was forced, and he really was innocent?
I thought the way they caught Private Dancer at the end was intriguing. Mostly because you rarely think about the fence only having enough cash on hand to buy one big score. Also, its interesting that Peter fled, even though the gang though this would get him back in the bureau's good graces, because Peter is trying to not rock the boat per the higher up's request. I guess there's something to be said for that, he's in trouble precisely because he's been going off book, so even though he cleared this old case, they might not have been pleased about him doing so when he was assigned to that other department.
Degrassi- Hmm, I was a little bit confused by Zig trying to be all, "it wasn't me, you have the wrong guy!" to Marisol over the dine and dash. Like she said, his girlfriend is in Power Squad with her, AND he's in her boyfriend's band! Like is he that dumb? Or was he oblivious? I thought the scene at the dinner and he saw Marisol was his waitress, that look one his face was "Oh crap, how can I dine and dash if its someone who knows me!?" Or did he just say that out of desperation, even though he knew it wouldn't work?
And what the, weird, Dallas giving Fiona good advice over Imogen? So he's not a total dick. And geez, Alli telling Dave to forget the condom because her parents come home in 20 minutes and there's no time. Someone's getting knocked up!
