Community- Because I am totally ghey, the Jannie shipper in me got all giddy when they did the quick flashes of all the things Jeff loved. Annie figured prominently in the images. As did Annie's boobs. (Her actual boobs, not the monkey)

The Secret Circle- The hallway scene between Dawn and John was interesting, because in that moment, it was easy to see how very much Dawn and Faye are alike. I mean, even though Dawn's the principal nowadays, she's as seductive as her daughter.

And what's up with Melissa being relegated to insightful side character tonight?!

Telling Diana to get some from Aussie dude, telling Faye to not take no for an answer from Lee (I wonder if she would change her tune if she knew the reason Faye was pissed was because his supposedly dead gf was at the store alive and well, and he purposely kissed her in front of Faye), and helping Jake through his Cassie/Adam woes? Surely she can be used for more than this!

Owel, let's start of with the B-plots first. Some Aussie guy named Grant passes through Chance harbor on a sailing trip, and Diana catches his eye. He ends up going to the school's Casino night to woo her, and they have a cute and romantic evening. However, given how a lot of these guys who mysteriously show up out of the blue are secretly evil or witch hunters or whatever, can she really trust him? I was expecting to have a scene at the end where Grant talks to the one witch hunter all, "I have Diana eating out of the palm of my hand!" or something along those lines. I suppose he might actually be normal. They're due some normalcy!

Faye tries to ask Lee to the dance, and he begs off, saying he has plans. When Melissa tells her to try again, she does, and find out his plans are hanging out with his supposed ex Eva, back from the dead. He actually wants Faye, but he thinks he owes Eva. In the end though, he chooses Faye. And Eva is distraught. And apparently came back with powers. She possibly kills Lee at the end in her anger.

Heh, on to the A-plot. Wow, Cassie is bold. She doesn't trust her dad, especially when she spies him angrily looking for something in the house. Cass tells Adam what she saw, and he gives her what she thinks her dad is looking for- a magic thingie that takes away a witches power. She thinks he wants it to steal her power.

I guess this show really is like its sister show in that people don't sit around, they actually do stuff. Despite Adam's warnings about how it might not be the smartest idea to show the item to her dad and confront him about it, since both she and it would be within his grasp, she does exactly that! Turns out it doesn't do what Adam thought- a witch can temporarily transfer their power to it, in order to give a mortal powers. And he wants it to figure out who spelled it and betrayed them.

Now, Cass remembers seeing Ethan there, so she suspects him, but doesn't tell her dad. She does confront Adam about it. Now she says she's not accusing Adam's dad, but how else did she think Adam's going to take, "Oh, my dad says someone betrayed the circle that day, hmm, your father was kinda acting sketch that day, do you know why?"

Heh, and continuing on her streak of basically just confronting everyone, and not thinking of the consequences, she next goes to Jake. She's all, "Hmm, my father thinks someone in the circle betrayed them. I saw Ethan in your memory that day, can you think of any other reason he'd be there?!" How in the world would she not think Jake would think Ethan is the traitor, since there's no other suspects, plus he's not the Conants biggest fan given he and Adam like the same girl! (Heh, one of the funnier lines of the night, Faye was wondering why John was gone all these years, and thinks its because he had a secret family. Which she thinks would be good, because they might have another hot daughter, and then both Adam and Jake can each have one. HA!)

He of course tells John immediately, who goes looking for Ethan. He finds Dawn, and they're flirty, but then he shocks her by getting really angry with her whilst looking for Ethan. So now she's curious as to why he's looking. She doesn't know just yet, but I wonder what she and Charles will do if they find out about all this?

In any case, Ethan finds John first and stabs him. Cassie stumbles upon this and chases Ethan down, subduing him, and is about to kill him before her father stops her. They let him go, and he lectures her on how she needs to give up magic, because the darkness will corrupt her (the fact that she doesn't think she's possible, and she's strong enough to resist is proff she cannot handle this power, I think). Supposedly, he's turned over a new leaf, and doesn't want Cassie falling into the same trap he did.

Anyways, he tells Cass that Ethan isn't the traitor, he was just mad over the whole Amelia thing. WTF?! He still freakin' tried to stab him to death in the parking lot! That's not normal! "Oh, Adam's dad didn't try to kill me because he was a secret traitor who got our friends and loved ones killed, he was just mad because I stole his girl!" That's better!

Later, he confronts Ethan, who is indeed the traitor. He foolishly believed the witch hunters when they said they would only kill John, and didn't intend for anyone else to get hurt. John says he will keep his secret, because there's been too much blood spilled already. But if he reveals Cassie has dark powers, John will end him. Ethan's not going to spill, because he's all creepy for the Blakes!

I mean, really, saying he and Amelia were written in the stars, but John interfered, but he won't be able to stop their children from getting together? Kinda creepy! Ethan claims Amelia was in on the plan, and she hated John and wanted to be rid of him too. John counters with the whole "written in the stars" thing not being destiny, but a curse. Heh, that would be an interesting way to read it!
