I've come to realize, "This Means War" is totally my kind of movie. I mean, an action movie with Bane and new Kirk that's also a Reese Witherspoon rom-com? All they need to do is throw in a musical number and it'll be one of the greatest movies evar!

TV commentary:

Gossip Girl- I was frustrated with the majority of this ep with regards to Dair interaction. I mean, Dan even ends up at the Bachelorette party, but nothing really comes from that. Even worse, I was worried that they were going the route where Dan and Serena were going to fall back into old habits with the fake relationship and reminiscing about the good times. I mean, nothing would piss me off more if they pulled off some BS where they had Dan be all, "Hey, being with Serena wasn't so bad!" and he gets over Blair by getting back with her.

But the fact that Blair told Serena she didn't have to fake the relationship anymore, and then lied to Dan about it, in an obvious attempt to mind trick Dan in to getting back together with her has me hopeful they're not going to seriously visit Darena anytime soon. And then when Blair was talking about how she found Louis' vows and it renewed her faith in marrying him, because they were so good and she felt like he saw into her soul? And it turns out Dan actually ghost-wrote them for Louis? I'd like to believe Dan and Blair will get together this season, but a part of me thinks this is just one big tease. Still, this show always manages to suck us Dair fans back in, giving us the faintest glimmer of hope it might actually happen.

Owel, so Nate, Serena, and his gramps concoct a plan that exposes Tripp as the one who sabotaged the limo. And they redeem Beatriz by having her go back on her and priest guy's plan to get Chuck and Blair together and expose them to Louis. Apparently Blair and Beatriz bonded over the break, and developed a kinship due to Beatriz also being in love with someone she shouldn't (royal priest guy)

But, he loves his position more than her, selling her out to her mom and deciding to work directly with Chuck to try and break up Louis and Blair's wedding (because Blair doesn't trust him and wants to replace him as royal priest with the priest she's been seeing over the ridiculous deal with god to keep Chuck alive thing)

Alcatraz- Mysterious! Yeah, they already had Rebecca's gramps be the guy who killed her partner, but ten will get you twenty that it was another Alcatraz inmate who was responsible for whatever traumatic event happened to Hurley when he was 11.

Interesting though, so we found out last week Lucy is from the past, and then they had the prison doctor show up at the end of this ep, I wonder if Sam Neill is also from the past? Though given how extensively Hurley has studied Alcatraz, I would've thunk he would've uncovered something about him. Or Lucy.

Oh, and the whole re-imprisoning the Alcatraz dudes makes sense, but its creepy as hell. I guess the weirdest thing about it is the fact that they actually hire the actors from those first two eps just to stand there in the cells. I mean, flashbacks are one thing, but to just have them standing their whenever Sam Neill goes to the secret prison is kinda funny. Its not like I would doubt that they're there if we didn't see them, it just seems unnecessary.
