Jan. 9th, 2012 02:52 pmCool, new trailer out for Operation Raccoon City:
This is actually an expanded version of one of the earlier trailers, wherein the Wolfpack encounters a Spec Ops team. Interesting, they always touted this game as the Wolfpack vs the BOWs vs other factions. But, the Spec Ops teams were previously portrayed as generic looking SWAT geared folks. Now, we're seeing a more individualized team for them. Which has me wondering if you can play as the Wolfpack or Spec Ops in story mode. Like the Wolfpack, they seem to be set up as a squad with differing roles, so the setup would be the same, just with a differing set of characters. I mean, other media has shown the Wolfpack encountering and allying with both Hunk and Nikolai, and hunting Jill, Carlos, Claire, and Leon. What if the Spec Ops side is the opposite, where they encounter and help the RE heroes?
In any case, this game looks more awesome the more I see it. Some RE purists are all PO-ed saying stuff like, "Why are they rewriting history?" or "Why don't they continue with the current storyline?" Hey, I think they wanted to go for a new gameplay style in familar territory. Its not supposed to be the future of the series, just another game type within that same universe trying to cater to people who want something different.
TV commentary:
Leverage- Weird, why are they offering the pilot free to watch on itunes this week? Is it so people would get last night's ep? When they made it clear that the mysterious person Lattimer was working with was someone from their past, I guessed it was either the guy who refused Nate's sons insurance (whom Nate, his ex-wife, and Romo Lampkin all used to work for. I considered it being Romo, but they're on good enough terms that I wouldn't think Romo would want revenge on Nate for anything) or Artie from WH13/Daphne's fiancee Donnie from Frasier. Actually, I leaned towards the latter at the end, since his method of trying to double cross them in the pilot was to blow them up in a warehouse. Nice to see I was right!
Nikita- Heh, its funny how the lie became the truth (sort of). So all this time, it wasn't that the guy who betrayed Alex's dad spreading lies that Alex was captured and brainwashed and was going to try and retake the company as a Division puppet, they legitimately thought that it was some Division/Percy plot from the start. And indeed, even though it wasn't Nikita's intention, Amanda did end up starting up a similar plan close enough to that. Interesting end though. So, with Alex back with Nikita, are they cool again, and is the family back together?
Chuck- I guess since it is the end of the show soon, they can do what they did! So now that Jeff is smart again, he was able to quickly figure out Casey, Sarah, and Chuck are in the spy business. Morgan came up with a plan to fool them, and it worked... almost, right until the last second. So, Jeff and Lester do end up getting tranqued by Morgan, wonder what they're gonna do about them?
