DW7 stuff: Finally maxed out my Wei version of the warriors 3 (Xiahou Dun, Xu Huang, and Zhang Liao). I'm working on Zhou Tai and Ma Chao next, and then Lu Bu when I'm done with that. I'll prolly work on several others, but prolly not everyone. I actually haven't completed the Nanman and Yellow Turban DLC stages yet. It'll give me something to do later. But I have completed Hu Lao Gate. The Dong Zhou side has been my go to stage for leveling right now. I mean, all the PC officers give automatic +4 stat drops, except for Lu Bu, who gives a +8. That's xiahou dun, xiahou yuan, cao cao, cao ren, liu bei, zhao yun, guan yu, zhang fei, diao chan, zhang liao, huang gai, sun jian, and zhang he, which is 13x +4 stat drops, which is better than any other stage on the map, with the potential to jump those to +8 if you manage a 24 hit combo (which is easy with some chars, harder with others) Plus, there's at least 7 scrub officers (cao hong, gongsun zan, gao shun, hang dan, cheng pu, wen chou and yan liang, I can't believe I know all these officers off the top of my head, but I have played the board a lot) who drop +2s, which you can take to +4s with a 16 hit combo. Also, the health +10 on the map is in a convenient place (on the dong zhou side of Si Shui gate, the jar right by the gate on the east side), and that's not even counting the base captains who have guaranteed defense drops. (+1, or +2 if you kill them with an 8 hit combo)
So its E3 this week, here's what's got my attention so far:
Star Wars: The Old Republic- I'm not actually into MMORPGs, and the actual game doesn't look that great to me, but the cinematics are cool:
Resident Evil stuff- The RE franchise is delving into the squad-based shooter world with Operation Raccoon City. Some people are pissed all "this isn't RE!", but its like, calm the frick down. Its not the direction the series is going to begin to go. So yes, it isn't traditional RE, but its looks like a cool game that takes place in that universe. I mean, if you're wanting something more traditional, there's Resident Evil: Revelations for the 3DS
>Assassin's Creed: Revelations: Here's the new trailer with Ezio being all bad-ass:
Ezio's looking a little old though. But looks like he's hanging around Altair's old stomping grounds.
Soul Calibur V- So this is a 17 year time jump from the previous game, since two of the characters are Sophitia's now adult children. But how is Mitsurugi still around then, he's got to be in his 50s now!
Ninja Gaiden 3- Looks pretty bloody and brutal, though Hayabusa's always been pretty bad-ass.
Street Fighter x Tekken- I hear some SF folks complaining the pace is a little slower than what they're used to, but still, its kinda cool to see fighters from these two franchises face off against each other.
Uncharted 3: Looks pretty awesome, heh, the trailer makes it look like a summer action flick.
Kinect Star Wars- It at least gets points for cool use of the tech. Though I would feel totally goofy having to yell "lightsaber: on" to turn my lightsaber on.
Gears of War 3- You get Mechs now! The other interesting thing I've seen is getting to play stages from two perspectives. The example they show is Marcus and Dom fighting a Leviathan on the ship, and once they hurt it enough, its killed by Damon and Cole dropping a crate full of explodey things on it from above. But yeah, once you play Marcus and Dom's side, you get to play things from Damon and Cole's side, where they're getting into position to drop the things.
Mass Effect 3- Looks awesome, and also a little more shooter-y than the previous titles?
Devil May Cry- Not sure why they had to reboot the series, but I'm sure it should be a solid action-er.
