geebs | (no subject)

Just got back from seeing Tron: Legacy with the usual suspects. While it is a very pretty movie at times, seeing it in 3-D was entirely unnecessary. Things didn't look that much better in 3-D to justify the extra cost. The plot was kinda thin, but the action sequences looked good. And the soundtrack by Daft Punk was very cool sounding. And it was pretty hilarious that Flynn ended up sounding kinda like The Dude a couple times.

Also, Olivia Wilde was totally hott in this. Although her character ended up having a sex robot feel at times. I mean, it practically seemed like Flynn was gifting her to his son there at the end. Or maybe I was just projecting onto Sam and just assumed he totally wanted to bang Quorra from the first moment he met her.

Oh weird, there was some random douche character in the beginning that

clevemire thought was Cillian Murphy, but I was a little skeptical at first, but checking imdb, it turns out it was indeed Cillian Murphy! That's kinda weird for him to do such a bit part.

After, had dunch at the Village Cafe. It was pretty good, though we all ate entirely too much.
