Excuse me while I rant. pgv('What's a rant?!') So simonsen77 posted on FB about Best Buy's trade in program where you can trade in your old electronics even if you didn't buy it at Best Buy. Since you can trade mobile phones and ipods in-store at the geek squad, I figured I'd trade in those obsolete Sidekicks sitting in my closet as well as my old ipod. Instant gratification as it were, rather than having to ship it to them and wait for them to get back to me.

So I go the geek squad to trade my stuff in, the chick behind the counter tries to price the stuff, but then gives me some bs line about the system being done. I wanted to yell that she was an effin' liar, but that wouldn't be very productive. I mean, okay, the system is down, I can wait. But she says she doesn't know when it will be back up and that it's been down all week. Man, I was seething. I wasted all that time getting there to get a frakkin run-around?! System down my ass! I mean, if it actually is, what kinda of amateurs do they have working there?! Its like, okay, the service they sell is fixing computers and electronics, and their own computer system has been down for an friggin' week?! I mean, I would never take my computer there to be fixed to begin with, but their job is to fix computers and their own computers don't even freakin' work?! B effin S! Why would I ever take it there then?!

Best Buy has the worst customer service ever. If it wasn't for their lower prices and the lack of those kinds of stores in the area, I'd go elsewhere. I mean, my Borders no longer sells music or DVDs and where else am I gonna get electronics?
