Walking Dead- Its interesting that the show is totally new territory from the comic. Hmm, so unlike the comic, Carol's husband/Sophia's dad is still alive when we first meet them. And he's a dick. If there's one thing I dislike about the series, its how the "bad" people are so stereotypical. I mean, last week Merle is just this vile racist, who even after getting handcuffed for his scumminess, is making disgusting sexual comments to Andrea. Its like, really, even in the situation he's in, he's gonna talk about "bumping uglies"? Who talks like that?! And this week, Ed is just the stereotypical abusive husband, thinking his wife is getting too uppity for giggling with the chyx instead of doing laundry.
Though the one thing with the expanded characters is that we get to see more aftermath from Rick returning to the camp and breaking up the life Shane was trying to start with Lori, what with Shane beating the crap out of Ed for smacking Carol around. That way we don't have to jump straight into Shane confronting Rick and getting killed by Carl.
And I guess with them showing Ed, we at least see how Carol became this needy loser.
Dexter- Interesting, if they manage to take out all of Lumen's attackers, will they start seeing each other? Will she start partnering up with him? I think they make a cute couple. Too bad something will prolly happen to mess what they have up. Be it Robocop (who knows all about Lumen now and spied them dumping a body) or the Chase guy doing something (who knows a little too much about Dexter).
Speaking of, wasn't what Chase did to Dexter totally assholish? I mean, its one thing to have someone go up there and give testimony on how Chase's plan or method or whatever helped him get some hot chick. But to make Dex come up and tell the story of his wife's brutal murder to make parallels to his self help method? That's kinda effed up. Though it did seem to help Dex a little. Interesting, in addition to the Lumen thing, after hearing about Deb "not feeling anything" about killing the one brother, he's starting to think maybe she might understand him.
Speaking of Deb, looks like Laguerta and that other cop chick basically threw Deb under the bus over the whole debacle, but looks like Batista is on her side and is gonna help her, despite his marriage to Laguerta.
Chuck- You know, it wasn't until halfway through the ep when Summer Glau and Adam Baldwin finally had a scene together that I realized the whole stunt casting implications with the two of them. I was like, duh, they were on Firefly together. I thought she was just there because she was a hot chick nerds like. HA!
Gossip Girl- Is it wrong that I'm glad Juliet's scheme worked and Serena finally got the comeuppance she's been due? So despite saying the L word to each other, Blair's not getting back together with Chuck so she can find herself. I can only hope she's for real and they finally are off the two of them for a while. I mean, all this season, it seems like they are going to take a much needed break, but then they're back the very next episode!
90210- My only comment on this ep, so Navid's dad, a Jewish pornographer, is fleeing to Iran to avoid persecution? Because that's a country that would be totally fine with harboring someone who is both Jewish and makes pr0n.
