geebsNow, I'm someone who doesn't really care about spoilers, but really, what's with the leaked clip of the performance of Teenage Dream in next week's ep of Glee being everywhere?
And here I am, reposting it myself! In any case, am I ghey for thinking this is awesome? (Plus, I find it hilarious how everyone is dorking out in the room) Interesting, even Katy Perry herself tweeted how awesome she thinks they did her song.
Friday Night Lights- Weird, so the show still is following Julie. Who apparently might hook up with her football loving TA? Seriously, what's with all these girls on TV going out with teachers and TAs and wot-not?
Also weird, the Riggins and Becky. Heh, at first, Mindy's all freaking out because Becky's prancing around in her little outfits (spcv('nice!')). Truthfully, hitting that is the last thing on Billy's mind. But then later, after a late night of partying, Mindy tells Becky off, saying they're her guardians now and there are rules she needs to follow. Becky is actually happy about this, as its the first time she's really had anyone care about her comings and goings. And it seems although Mindy was feeling threatened initially, it looks like she's starting to feel maternal towards Becks.
Looks like she might be hooking up with Luke again? Seems the people in power weren't too pleased with the Lions' win, so they're gunning for them. They don't make the rankings, because as Mac says, Eric is an outsider now, so he's kinda persona non grata. Then they suspend Luke for that hit last game, so morale is slightly low with the team, as they feel like they're being treated unfairly. So between this and Vince apparently being a rising star being looked at by all sorts of colleges and having big wigs in town schmoozing with him, Luke is kinda down. He tries to pick a fight with basketball guy, but Becky talks him down. She takes him home and he tries to invite her in, but she says that wouldn't be a good idea. Indeed. I'm sure his mom, who tried to get Tami fired last year over the whole abortion thing, will be fine with her son getting back together with the girl he knocked up and who terminated the baby!
Speaking of couples, Jess isn't too keen into doing the whole Rally girl thing herself, so she gives Vince permission to get his own Rally girl. Unfortunately, the girl makes no bones about trying to steal Vince, so Jess fights her in the bathroom, and then later at the party she tries to outdrink her, but just ends up puking all over the place. She's embarrassed, and confesses to Vince she misses the summer when they'd hang out and play football and strategize- she's not into the whole rally girl thing because she doesn't like catering to football players, she loves football itself. Honestly, it doesn't seem like she has to worry about losing Vince.
At the school, Tami is getting resistance from the teachers for all her bold plans, and has trouble motivating this problem girl Epic. She just seems generally lethargic, but eventually Tami prevails and gets her to at least show up for her first counseling session. Also, taking the principal and coach's advice, she decides to hang out with her co-workers for happy hour at some Mex restaurant. She ends up getting a drink spilled on her, and since she still feels like an outsider, she decides to call it a night. One of the teachers feels a little guilty, and wanting to show Tami they're not as cynical as they seem, she decides to sign up for one of Tammy's things.
Finally, in the end, Coach motivates the team right before the game by writing state on the board. They don't show the game, but I assume they'll win? I mean, it seems like it will be more poignant if they win without Luke since the commission suspended him in the hopes that it will stop the Lions' momentum. And its the last season, and unlike last year, when they were struggling to just not be a total embarrassment, I assume they'd have to be a contender for state?
