TV commentary:
Undercovers- Dang, since they had David Anders guesting, I was kinda hoping they were doing an Alias cross over, and he was actually Sark. Actually, I always kinda amused myself by thinking what if all the JJ Abrams shows were in the same universe? Felicity, Alias, Lost, Fringe, Undercovers. I mean, technically Driveshaft was played on Alias so they might be in the same universe. Although having Magic/Time Travel (Felicity), Rambaldi (Alias), The Island (Lost), and the Other Side (Fringe) existing in the same world might be a little too crazy. And heh, I just noticed Undercovers is the only one of his shows that does not have some sort of mystical element (yet!). And Sam's mentor is totally not dead. Whenever someone on these kinds of shows talks about someone in their past whose death really affected them, and say they died in way that doesn't leave an easily identifiable body, the person is totally alive!
South Park- Woah, this current story arc is gonna be a three parter? I am amused by the random set of references. I mean, supposedly the Cartman/Cthulu thing is a My Neighbor Totoro ref, and at the cultist meeting, they had a bunch of Arkham Horror expansions sitting on a book shelf in the background? Wait, was it a surprise that Mysterion was Kenny? I thought there was a quick scene last week that pointed to him being Kenny. But ha, I loved the Clyde (or was it Craig?) scene where his mom is knocking on the door, and they had Mosquito, Human Kite and Mintberry Crunch stand there hesitant to respond, just to have the audience guessing which one was him.
Modern Family- I think Haley looked hotter tonight because since they had her playing sick, she wasn't wearing a lot of make up, making her look infinitely better. Usually she's wearing too much- I mean, even in the Hawaii ep, where she had gotten plastered, even though she was supposed to be sick from puking her guts out, she still looked better than usual because of the cut down in make up. But heh, I don't blame her bf for dreaming about the mom, and then later finding out, it was actually a threesome with the mom and Haley.
In any case, I found the whole soap opera thing totally hilarious, particularly when Haley was all, "Is that Jesse?" Because then I recognized that it was indeed Jesse and Angie from All My Children (speaking of, I did not realize Marcy from Married With Children was actually on AMC for a while before MWC started!). I thought he died! So I had to wiki it, and he indeed did die, and even though he did show up as a ghost a few times later, they apparently resurrected him in the early oughts by saying he didn't die and actually went into hiding to protect his family? So, what, all those times people saw ghost him, it was just a figment of their imagination?!
Although thinking about it, Jesse died back in 88, which would've been before Haley was even born (weird!). But she sounded all shocked to see Jesse, but since that was way before she was born, they only time she would've seen Jesse was when he was already back and alive. So it shouldn't be all that shocking to her!
