geebsSo the Writer's Block question of the day on LJ is: "If you had to go an entire week without TV, music, or your mobile phone, which would you choose, and why?"
I think we all know which one I wouldn't choose! A week without TV, yeah, right! Although choosing between music and my mobile is a hard one. I would say I'd go without the phone, but while I don't use it to talk or text all that much, I do like being able to reach the internet wherever, whenever. But most of the day I'm by a computer anyways, so its moot. Now if it was internet rather than just your phone, then sure, music would be last at that point.
TV commentary:
Dexter- Is it me, or is Robocop looking pretty creepy nowadays? Speaking of creepy looking, I was watching this commercial with this decrepit old man spouting about health care and it wasn't until 30 seconds in that I realized it was Matlock! Man, he's old. I mean, I've only seen him as old, but he's like really old looking now.
The comedy of errors this ep, with Dexter's own kill interrupted by Lumen asking for his help cleaning up a mess she made trying to kill one of her attackers was amusing. I kinda like their dynamic. But it was a little silly the way they were able to cover it up. I mean, I'm sure Masuka gave a convincing description (and did Dexter purposely set it up that way knowing what a weirdo pervert Masuka was?), but would the cops really think its some weird sex act gone wrong? Like why would some guy hold a gun on someone to make them strangle them?! No one is that freaky! And if the crime scene was limited to that room, sure, but the guy was obviously shot somewhere else! Do they believe they took whatever the hell they were doing throughout that warehouse?! It does not make cents! And wouldn't the autopsy indicate the guy died from a broken neck rather than blood loss from being shot?
So Dexter is gonna go after Lumen's rapists so "he can get the revenge for her that he could never give Rita"? Technically, didn't he unknowingly get revenge for Rita? I mean, she was murdered while Dexter was on the hunt for Trinity, but then Dex caught up with him and killed him. Sure, he didn't know Trinity killed his wife, but he did kinda avenge her by killing him, didn't he?
Heh, I wonder how long until Dex bangs Lumen? Or at the very least, it seems like he's gonna be spending more time with her. I wonder if he's gonna keep her a secret friend, or will he start bringing her around to his friends as some chick he met that he's befriended?
