TV commentary:
Vampire Diaries- Damn, is it me, or does this show have a ridiculously hot cast, and equally purty guest stars? Although less now, given Kat killed Amy Bradley! Boo! But what the frak Stefan? How did he not see that coming!
Anyways, the gang has had enough of Katherine's BS, so they make a plan to kill her at the Masquerade ball at the Tyler estate. The brothers, Jeremy, Caroline and Bonnie go to the party, leaving Alaric to watch over Elena and Jenna. Elena eventually figures out the gang's keeping something from her, and somehow Ric fails to notice her sneak out to see what her friends up to.
Its pretty solid- Jeremy tells Kat to meet the Salvatores at the far end of the lake, but in a suspicious way. So she goes to get the truth from Caroline, and seemingly beats it out of her. A whimpering Caroline shows her to the room they plan to kill her. But it was all a ruse to trick her in there, as Bonnie had already put a variation of the tomb-sealing spell on it, locking her in with Damon and Stefan. Caroline is quite happy to get one over on her murderer.
Their victory is short lived, as Elena shows up just in time to ask what the hell her friends are thinking. Bonnie and Jeremy see Elena get vicious wounds as the attacks the brothers do on Kat transfer to her. How? She decided to bring her own witch into the mix. Unfortunately for her, while it does save her from the Salvatores' murderous intent, turns out her witch is related to Bonnie, and when she finds out that Kat sent her against her kin, she betrays Kat.
So Kat is stunned long enough for the brothers to throw her in the tomb instead of killing her. Why, I have no idea, because the effin' ep cut off on me!!
Still, despite her defeat, she's quite brilliant. There was bringing along her own witch. Also, Matt's not the only one she sent after Tyler to get killed. Caroline manages to stop him from accidentally killing Matt. Unfortunately, Sarah was glamered as well, and she ends up attacking Tyler and he ends up killing her in self defense. So he's a wolf now. (Its amusing that Sarah ended up being the one dying, given the scare she gave him a few eps before) But with her and Amy dead, they'll need some new non-cast member teens for them to interact with!
Anyways, Bonnie asks her cuz to stay and teach her more since she's all alone in the whole witch thing, and hearing her cousin complain about being a slave to the whims of vamps prompts her to ask how she gets uninvolved in all this vampire stuff. But her cousin tells her since she's a good witch, being in the middle of all that vamp stuff is where she needs to be.
Other weird happenings this ep with her? Bonnie and the Germ getting close, with Bonnie wondering when her best friend's brother grew up. Oh, I'm so sure she wants a ride home from him!
